I have two questions. 1.So far, most youtubers that changed their bodies through calisthenics were skinny or skinny fat, I haven't seen a single one that was overweight or had a more sturdy build. My first question is: can calisthenics help me develop strength, muscular size and definition, or this is something that works only for skinny people? 2.For a very beginner in calisthenics, and someone that has issues with time management, what are the five "must do" exercises that you recommend?How many repetitions?

It is really awesome that you learned all these skills by yourself that's inspiring for me...So for the questions did you include strength and mobility and flexibility exercises in your workout?And how did you learn about correct technique and form of exercise or skills?

For me it was my girlfriend who left me when was 17. Things didn't just work out like i planned it to. Then i was scrolling through youtube and saw your body transformation. I was shocked by amount of skill, strength and body control of yours as i wasn't able to do a single pushup. From that day until this very day i am working out consistently. Thanks alot man, in a way you also changed my life

Can I ask quick program that you followed? I'm pretty much at the same place as yours before and I really want to improve myself. Couldn't do a single regular push up and pull up :(

@@honggiakhanh there is always an easier version of every Calisthenics exercise. Start off with knee pushups, inverted rows, squats and some core exercises. After some weeks try doing the negative of the pushup,pullups and dips. Build up the reps for every exercise. Combine pushups and dips for the push day and pullups/chinups and rows for the pull day.i suggest l sit variations for the core and pistol squats for the leg. Do 4 sets till failure on very rep. @@sleege6187 i've been focusing more on the skills lately so my reps reduced since i start with skills+dynamics and i would rep out basics at the end of my workout. For pushups i do about 30-35 reps. When i was focusing more on the reps i was able to rep out 50-60 in a single set. Create a goal and work towards it. Peace man

@@sleege6187 I am personally using Caliathletics calisthenics program at the moment and Im thinking about buying his weighted program soon. Another good program is for example the bodyweight basics program by tom merrick.

I used to have a freaking large beer belly... I used to drink a helluva lot, day in, day out. Until one day I became so depressed after a breakup... I looked at myself in the mirror, and instead of killing myself, I decided to work on bettering myself... I encountered your 1 year transformation video, and your channel in general, while I was searching for a "way out"... And I immediately fell in love with having a healthy lifestyle... After just a couple of months of SERIOUS training and SERIOUS RESEARCH about nutrition, I got so lean I couldn't even believe it... Last month, I decided to also turn Vegan, which was a challenge in itself... I still made it, and managed to DISCIPLINE myself... Dude... I'm telling you, it is so amazing what can happen to you and your psyche, and body, when you decide to put your mind to it... Oh and by the way, as a consequence of changing my lifestyle, my "addiction" to video games also disappeared...nowadays its just work AND working out... :D

3:40 For a new wrist band, you should use your quote here: "attempts, attempts, attempts" and then the CA logo. When you said it I was so inspired to work on my L-sit. I'd buy that wrist band and use it as a reminder to keep trying when I'm losing energy. :)

I've decided I wanna train and be able to do chin ups that is kind of my main goal. But while getting there I wanna still have a core in a better too at the same time. I just went at the gym tonight and for the second time I was able to do the last 1/2 part or maybe 1/4 ish part of a chin up. I guess that is a basic skill, but still the adrenaline it came me when I first achieved it qhen I was planing to simply do a negative pull up. It still isn't a full chin up. But my goal is not only doing a proper chin up but a chinup with the full range of motion too. It's cool you're doing these types of video dud! I'm kinda starting into it really I don't have a good body weight as you had when you started too. I'm like 5'2 156lb I'm woman by the way. If that can make more sense as I naturally have more body fat I guess. Nutrition and training really goes well together. I've lost 2lb I believe in maybe 1 month I really started eating better like 2 weeks ago and really avoiding easy junk food. I literally start feeling the difference real quick. Like I had a bad time when I was taking the easy way and eating junk food too often. But getting in shape really makes me feel better and I might stick around your channel a little too. Cause having good people to watch their training related videos is also a motivated thing because it demonstrates what Incan hope to train and learn later on when I'll have progress more.

I have already started on the first week of the beginner calisthenics program with Level 1 and have been enjoying it so far. The reason I wanted to calisthenics was so that I would be able to do this anywhere without the worry of buying gym equipment or getting a membership. The only issue for me was where to start and that is where I found you. I also wanted to feel good about myself physically and mentally. Before, in my college days, I would go to the gym constantly and play for my college ultimate frisbee team (then tore my ACL at the beginning of the actual season). After graduating and started my job training, I did not have really the motivation at all to work out. During the training and now in my new job, I was never confident in myself and never giving it my all. To cope with that stress, I would sit there on my phone or laptop, watch RU-vid videos or play video games. But that was not really getting anywhere. As I start on this journey of doing calisthenics, I believe that I can benefit in the long term and feel proud of what I am going to accomplish.

@@zoronamikaze I got big from rep work. Each workout I aimed for 1000 reps. I am bigger than Darek just saying but he is a lot stronger in the skill department than me. If it's mainly size you're after you can easily follow my protocol and see for yourself

Hey Darek,great video! Just a question. Do you still learn things about calisthenics (basics and more), or you do all your training as you have already done until now? Do you think there are still things to learn about the most common exercises,so to add them in your routine? I ask you,because i always see new tips and i change something in the way i do pullups (arched back), pushups (scaps depressed) and so on. Thanks!

Yo man, i have a friend who wants to start in calisthenics but he is sooo fat. What would you advice him to do ? He is addicted in computers and he is always spending his day playing videos games and eating foods with good amount of calories getting even more fat than before. Even doing that he is still thinking he will be able to do Full Planche, Maltese and some others calisthenics movements.

I would advise to teach him about nutrition in a good way and week by week slowly cutting on calories to caloric needs maintenance. Aside of that I would recommend of course to include calisthenics workouts but taking it slowly with exercises regressions matched to his level and full body workouts 3-4 times a week. At the beginning it doesn't have to be so intense not to discourage him to workouts, overtime increase intensity and volume.
