"spotlighty" has been doing that same scam on different accounts since at least 2018. Same script, too, word for word. The scam is basically to convince you to trust them and help them with their "item collection" in exchange for some big reward / your dream item. In the end, you just end up giving them every thing you have in the hopes of a big payout in the end. After you've given them a little bit they try to make you feel like you're already in too deep to stop which is why that guy kept getting progressively more naked.

Funny story, my mate and I were drinking irl and bank standing at the GE. Some girl comes up to me and does this whole scam, problem was, I was too intoxicated to recognise what was going on 😂 After she gets all my bandos and stuff I say, oh don’t worry I can get another one, and just buy another set from the bank, then she got real mean about how I LIED to her about how much money I had and starts calling me names, then logs out 😂

Jagex should give you a specialised acc that has a toggle to remove you from all friend/ignore lists so you cant be tracked and has unlimited name changes so you can do this forever

Watching this series, as someone who got taken for a ride by Bird a couple years ago for 2b, is so satisfying. FYI, they will often drag you out by using 2 accs with similar name, so you trade one that tele'd near enough by for your character to path to it, out of the safe zone.

So many trust based scams. One guy on a lvl 117 account would show 20b and gain trust that way, just constantly saying give me x item they are wearing. And it works a lot of the times.

kempq ive been trolling blood shard bots recently. if you open the door near the hollowed sepulcre thieve house where they all steal they stop all their behavior to close the door and if the girl in the house gets stuck outside they all world hop. its so funny.

Never been in a situation where someone attempted to scam me on OSRS because I don't interact with those people, but I always thought they had an extremely elaborate and convincing scheme that would work on the average person, now I genuinely do not feel bad for anyone who falls for this. Hopefully this teaches them common sense so that it doesn''t happen IRL
