My sister had a friend whose parents married on day 3 of knowing each other. They were married for 44 years before he passed.

I totally agree!! I met my husband in July 2018 and we married that November. We asked a LOT of questions while courting and were very open and honest with each other. That was huge. And we both committed to purity. It was so clear God was at the center from the start. And an answer to both of our prayers. Every year that goes by we get more confirmation He brought us together. It’s not been easy but the trials bring us closer and we thank God for them and truly praise Him so much for each other and our marriage. 🙏🏻❤️

Theres a book called 101 questions to ask before getting engaged. We went thru the whole thing before getting engaged. We wanted to know we were in agreement and where we saw differently. We did it quickly tho. 3 months til engagement.

What you are doing in analyzing social situations and what you liked and disliked about them is such a healthy exercise for your marriage! We often do the same on our drive homes or in the evening. It may seem like gossip, but it's not if done in a healthy way (which you are doing). We are all different, especially with parenting and it's not a one-size-fits-all situation. Emulating the good qualities we see in others is how we grow. The difference of opinion between you too is also good. Often times that discussion will give one of us a different perspective on the situation. All such great advice. We have young children and after watching your videos we always discuss what you had to say and talk about how we want to apply some of these dating principals to our children as they grow up. You guys are the best. Thank you for your honest and living your best lives! God Bless. 😇

I love your content. It has been a blessing as a woman living in a secular world and still working . It has motivated me to prepare for my future dream as being a house wife even though I still dont know when it will happen. I am praying daily for this season of singleness to end soon . And your story has given me hope when I find it difficult to get up and go to work on the morning. I really hope things will change. And now I try to understand and prepare what I can about biblical gender roles and Gods will for marriage. It has been so much to learn as i have grew up in this feminist culture. It has amazed me that I never even thought before that being a wife and keeper at home can be a goal !. I really love when you cover these topics of roles and submission biblically. Some terms like ”sexual market value” even though there are truth behind, arent really biblical (sounds more like evolution psychology when you attract possible mating partners, not loving biblical marriage with a man and a woman divinely brought together by God) so I prefer biblical terms of Gods will for genders over these ”value” terms which are used also by many pick up artists.

How do you know what Bible to follow? What church to join, by the way they interpret the Bible? Do you ever question that the Bible was written by men & what ever king was in power? No, im not a feminist crazy person. I have spiritual beliefs of my own. Im just genuinely curious. Please don't come for me. I love learning & understanding other sides. Sorry thats A LOT for the comment section

It was written by men but not kings. Kings ordered the translations and had a certain bend in the way it was translated. But it was written in the original languages in the time of Jesus and before.

Hi Scott and Kelli! My name is Raquel and I am 24 years old. I was born into the church but I didn’t have my conversion experience until I was about 19. I’m currently in an LVN student who is also working part time as a CNA. I’m depressed, stressed, and absolutely miserable. I have a quick question that I haven’t seen addressed after recently running into your channel and binge watching your videos (this is the first time I hear this stuff) What is your advice for single girls who are being heavily encouraged by both parents to go to college? I consider myself to fall under that category of girls. Since my conversion, I’ve wanted nothing else but to get married and have kids, but my parents won’t allow me to not go to school if I am to live under their house. I feel trapped. I’m their minds the only option is for me to become an RN. I’ve always been very obedient and docile so, of course, I’ve spent the past couple years working towards that goal. Now that I’m in this program, I feel like I’m having a mid life crisis. I have no desire to continue forward and become a nurse but I’m already I’m debt since it is a private program. What do you guys suggest that girls who are in my situation do? What do us single girls do when both parents don’t support this idea of their daughter becoming a homemaker and our future husband is nowhere in sight? Does school or moving out then become an option? I have surrendered my future to God, including who and when I am to marry. I trust his timing is perfect. Just wondering what your guy’s input is on my situation. Really hoping for some feedback. (I can only ask here since I don’t have social media) Thank you and God bless!

Hi
Raquel, thanks for reaching out! I feel like I relate very much to your story. I was 19 when I gave my life to Jesus (also having grown up in church). I remember the year before meeting Scott, I was 24 years old and for the first time I felt anxiety and depression. I was working several jobs trying to get by (and in student debt) and just felt that there had to be more to life than this.

I wasn’t living under my parents roof at this time, so leaving your parent’s home wouldn’t necessarily “fix” the depression of this season (it may make it even harder because of the expenses and stress that come with independent living.) That being said, that extremely uncomfortable season is what made me start asking God what do I do to get out of this!?
We encourage you to cheerfully obey your dad and expect God to bless you for it. This is great training for being a cheerful wife and faithful woman of God, because even after you get married there will be tough circumstances and to already learn adaptability and cheerfully trust in God to be your Vindicator will hugely bless you for the rest of your life!

And then pray that God would soften your parents hearts. It’s hard for us to know the dynamics with your parents but if possible have a conversation with them, where you share where you’re at AND commit to cheerfully obeying them regardless of how the conversation goes. Ask your dad to help you explore all the options/opportunities that are available to you to change your situation (that he would support, and that would make you excited!)

So thankful for your desire for marriage and to be a homemaker. We will also be praying with you that God will quickly bring your husband. God bless you and we’d love to keep updated on how we can be praying for you. You can always email us at homewithkelli.co@gmail.com

What was the book you had mentioned in the middle of the video? Kelli said she really enjoyed reading it and it helped her discover her femininity more? By Debbie someone I think I heard y’all say?!

“Created To Be His Help Meet” by Debi Pearl. I haven’t read this one but the life-changing book I’ve read about being a godly wife is The Excellent Wife by Martha Peace. HIGHLY recommend to all women married and desiring to marry!

Debi Pearl and her husband are very toxic people. I would not take advice from them about anything! You can have a healthy tradwife/husband relationship without reading their books.

So I’m wanting to seriously ask. Im not being sarcastic I promise: Where on earth are the godly women who desire to be godly submissive housewives and follow traditional roles? I’m a former pastor, full time seminarian for over a decade, PhD, served in several foreign mission trips, and looking for another church to pastor now. Where are the women with the traditional values? Obviously not in my SBC denomination, seminary, and not in the Southern “Bible Belt.” I’m in obvious “Christian” environments constantly, I’m around good Christian people, I’m not going to ungodly situations. If I met such a woman, I’d actually consider marriage as an option for me, but I won’t if I don’t meet such a woman. What country, church denominations, language etc contains such women and teaches women to behave like the Bible teaches? Feminism has taken complete control everywhere I’ve seen. Thanks.

Try the courtship network, try a presbyterian (PCA or OPC) church or a CREC church.
@LaurenSheehan

Also consider more recently converted women coming from the new age and other pagan spirituality , these women have often directly experienced the damage of modern femininism culture and highly value traditional gender roles but have a hard time finding a christian man who isn't overly effeminate or just spiritually impotent. Other than that the only denominations I know of that openly teach Christian male leadership and traditional gender roles are the CREC and some of the more traditional Presbyterian ones (reformed and conental in their theology)
