The negative comments are ridiculous. Crazy how people have nothing better to do. Nobody forces you to watch or comment. Helpful video and looks good man.
Thanks for the video man, I've been looking for info on this very thing, couldn't find anything, but this covered all I needed to know! I'm was offset illiterate... haha
Thanks for posting this, I just got some -44 on my truck but unfortunately they don't stick out like yours because of my yuge riveted bushwacker fenders.. I'm going to try and get some slimmer fenders I guess because I was really disappointed when I pulled up to pick up my truck and they barely stuck out :o( These wheels are expensive!!! I even was thinking that they ordered the wrong size like -24 instead.. but I guess it's probably my fenders. mine are GEAR wheels, anyway, thanks again for posting this
No lol... The reason they stick out more is because the 12 wides have a bigger offset. you can find wheels 10 wide and 12 wide with different offsets etc.. So just because a wheel is wider does not necessarily mean it will stick out farther 👍
Thanks. Got my first truck I want to put good wheels on over stocks. This showed me what I don’t want 👍 The 2nd set looks good on a big truck but that style on a small truck? No way 😂
Thanks for helping explain this. Now I know what I don’t want lol. Personally not a fan of this moddern lifted truck style and scattered look. Seems it would beat up the body and put unnecessary wear on parts. Lift kit I’m looking into says no rub with +25 offeset. So maybe 0 should work well.
I got 15 inch wheels and got bigger and wider tires for my 06 colorado 4 wheel drive. I don't know much about stuff when it comes to wheels so i should of went up in wheel size when i did tires but I didn't so I'm looking for some 15 inch offsett wheels to make my tires stick out more where i bought the tires theg recommended 15×8 but idk of that would stick out enough or of i should go 15×9 or even up more then that. Is the number behind the 15 like 15×8 is that the bigger then number the more they will stick out? Sorry to be a bother just don't wanna get ripped off when I go purchase the wheels so just trying to find out as much information as possible thanks in advance if you see this. I like how yours is sticking out in the beginning so should i go 15×10 . i was also told of its 4 wheel drive like mine it will stick out even more.where i just put bigger and wider tires on it already sticking out barely with the factory 15 inch wheels.
Haven’t read the comments but just a few at the top. Not being negative about anything but the 12 wide plus the more offset is going to poke a lot more the the the first set bc of the width. I been through this. Nice truck tho
just a quick question what size lift do u have on ur truck and did the tires rub at all with the 18x10 -24? cause i have 35×12.50 18s with a 4 inch lift and i wanna get a 18×10 wheels im just worried they might catch the fender or the bumper when i turn sharp.
If youre worried about that dont put offset. Thats common sense. Even any stock truck you can hear rocks being tossed at the inner fenders, offset just means it will throw along the sides
I can't wait to order motos for my truck, wanna get them custom ordered though 20x14 with -44 offset so I can eventually fit those 38x15.5r20 toyos when I lift it
He also went from a 10 wide to a 12 wide, so what’s the actual difference? Not being a dick, serious question because I just got some 12 wides -44 offset waiting on tires, trying to figure out what to expect
Question I want to change the WHEELS and Tires on my 2017 F-150 it came with 17 in factory wheels I want to put 20 or even 22 wheels on the rear, but keep the 17 in wheels on the front The Offset on the front is fine, maybe I could get it pushed out 1/2 On the back I would like to push it out an 1 or even 1.5 inch My Question is will the truck have any issues with this setup
@@explorewithmarquiseso I ended up getting -12 offset wheels on 35 AMP Terrain Attacks, the tire poke is significant but not stupid looking, with the 2 inch lift looks badass, as I’ve heard some guys in videos describe it, it’s right at that perfect spot on the mild and to wild scale and although there is a tiny bit of road noise, these tires are insane in that they pick up nothing. Now I won’t say 100%. There was a nasty construction zone for couple months on my street, tons of gravel all over the place in clusters where work was being done, I pulled over and was able to find a large stone every now and then stuck in the tire. But some days I drive over them and check and there is nothing. I’d probably buy these tires again. They are pretty awesome.
Do you remember what your backspace was on your first set of wheels that you hat on? I'm interested in a 25 10 with a negative offset of 24 but it's got a backspace of 6.44. I would run it on a two-wheel drive F250 with a leveling kit. Tires would be a 33. Just curious. Thank you. Truck looks great by the way.
Just ordered 18x12 with 33x12.5 tires with -44mm offset. But the lug pattern is different than my stock lugs so I’m getting a 2 inch 5x5.5 to 6x5.5 adapter. That’s about -90mm total offset.
Brayden Aurich I live in PA and my 37x12.50x20 toyo mt mounted on 9"wide (not ghetto wheels) suck in the snow. With 12" wide wheels you will slide and float all over the road. Skinnier the better in snow.
lmao that 20mm of extra offset is less than an inch. .78 inches. Where the hell did you come up with two inches? Better hit those math books again kid.
Alexander Forbes remember he went from a 10 wide to a 12 wide. if you have a 10 wide with -24 offset and a 12 wide with -24 offset the 12 wide will be wider by exactly an inch with the same exact offset. Didn't think about that one huh?
Frank V negative. The rim width is irrelevant to the tire width as the tires are measured across the tread. We're not taking about of the face of the rim is farther out, I we're talking tire. Tire sizes were still a 12.5 so no additional width there. The the tires themselves only moved .78 inches end of story. Can't argue the pictures that clearly show that the additional offset is clearly did not move the tires out two inches for that "wider stance". You should probably learn to break things down into components before trying to correct me. Rim width in this case only moved sidewalls a bit farther out. It did not effect the perceived wider stance.
Alexander Forbes The offset (ie -24 or -44) is measured from dead centre of the rim 20x10 -24 is 5" + 24mm = 5.945" past center of rim 20x12 -44 is 6" + 44mm = 7.732" past center of rim = 1.79" more offset
Where can I find exact setup for wheels n tires? For the -24 offset ones. And also, I have a 4 inch lift, you think 13.5 instead of 12.5 would be too much?
Hey man, couple of questions: Wouldn't the extra 2 inches in wheel width account for the amount of tire sticking out? (The first wheels were 10" wide and the second set was 12") Why did you put bald tires on new wheels? Good lookin truck
genisis53 He used the same tire. The tire size is the tire size...it doesn't change when the rim width does. The additional negative 20 offset of the new rim is what makes it "stick out" more.
Oh yes here we are another truck with its wheels hanging out the side waiting to get snaped off by a pothole what happens to trucks with more tire and not rim you can put this setup on a bag of shit and its still a bag of shit
@@willrisher6049 just pointing out it's a look that does nothing but cause trouble and premature failure I have seen it time and time again and it's just an opinion if you don't like it I'm sure there are plenty of comments that are compliments to your thoughts.
