My story of fear was getting my license. I was 24 years old and everyone around me had theirs and got theirs when they were about 17 and here I was, 24 years old without hers. I got so embarrassed when I had to provide ID and people would see that it was a Beginner Permit at 24. And I was so scared to get my license because I had already failed the driving course twice and I kept feeding my mind with fear saying, “I won’t get it. I can’t get it. I’m not good enough.” And on my 3rd try, I passed because I prayed and prayed and told myself that I can do anything I set my mind to. I believe in myself that I can achieve it. And I had so much confidence and faith going into the DMV and I succeeded. 💕

I applied for 2 internships during university and my anxiety before the actual interviews (they both invited me) was an absolute joke, i was going crazy in my head - what if i dont know an answer - what if i fail and embaress myself..all that stuff, i prepared so much and studied everything about these companys So long Story short - both interviews went more than great they both offered me to spent my internship there and mentioned they love to have me working for them - all my fear, me going mental making up the worst scenarios in my head - WHY?? absolutely unnecessary!! So no more fear!! And never underestimate your worth! Dont sell yourself cheap! I learned that i have a lot to offer and that im very good in what i study! Never let fear rule ❤ Have faith in yourself! Thanks so much for your talks! Means the world to me 🖤🖤🖤

Regarding solo travel: Who would I eat with? Who would I talk to? What if the plane crashes? So many voices within my head that could’ve stopped me from going anywhere. 6 years later, I’ve taken over 50 flights alone, I’ve been to 6 different countries solo. I’ve made some of the best connections while traveling alone. You miss out on conversations and connections with new people when you’re constantly buddied up with someone. You see things from a different perspective. You soak up the atmosphere in totality when you’re alone. To this day, my mom sends me links to horror travel stories to try and dissuade me from traveling alone and I assure her that A: it can happen anywhere and B: traveling alone doesn’t make me any less cautious or any less aware of my surroundings. Keep up the good work, Breeny!! Ppl need this message.

In 2017, I completed my first degree and decided to jump on straight to do my masters at King's College London. Everyone around me who knew my plans discouraged me so much saying the standard of admission is too high and shouldn't bother to waste my energy and time. I applied anyway as I knew that there is no harm in trying. Long story short, went for interview and passed. Completing my course this summer.

I was afraid to write my book about my life even though i felt in my spirit the Lord commissioned me to do it. It was primarily difficult because of how i "thought" people would react to the rape, molestation, self-hate, physical abuse and other embarrassing facts about my life. Finally, i started writing it but some parts got really painful, i started thinking about what other people would think or say about me therefore, i allowed fear to stop me. Fast forward to 11/25/2017 my mother suddenly passed away. After the initial stages of pain and grief i finally decided to finish the book as a tribute to my mother. I finally finished it and published my first book Normal Dysfunction in September on 2018 and i had the book signing on my mom's birthday. Now I am a self published Author!!!! Fear held me back for a long time but i finally got unstuck!

I bought a Joyce Meyer book about fear last week and there was a story about this woman named elisabeth who’s missionary husband was killed in ecuador along with others. She told her friend that she could’nt even step out of her house due to fear. The friend asked her “Why don’t you do it afraid?” and that question set her free. Ever since then she stopped letting fear control her. Elisabeth and her friend (a sister of one of the deceased men) eventually went on to evangelise the tribes including the men who killed her husband. I’ve been thinking about that statement ever since because it’s so simple but so powerful.. “Why don’t you do it afraid?”

real talk. applied for medicine in 2013, wanted to apply to my dream london uni but my counsellor and biology teacher told me i would not get in. applied to places i didn't like which showed in the interviews and i ended up not getting an offer and studying something else. 3 years later, despite graduate medicine being even more competitive, i decided to apply to the university i have always wanted to be in, and i got in and truly loving it. This was what i needed this morning!! i will take the leap to start a youtube channel and develop the app i wanted to this year. Enough is enough. No more excuses

Just what I needed as I make the decision to live in a foreign country. People project their own fears and anxiety onto me about this but I’m not going to stop my dreams for them.

I dont have my license to drive and I'm scared to drive. This year I've been encouraging myself to learn to drive. Finally am able to borrow a car to drive and it's easy and my fear drifted away. So... I'm taking the drivers test this upcoming month *may* 👏🏾 Edit: In November 2019, I was able to get my permit! 💛🙌🏾 Edit: Oct 2020 - I've driven on the road two times. I suck at turning, but I'm hoping to take the drivers test before Dec!

I'm 19 turning 20 this year and with social media and most of the pressure from myself, I always feel pressured to stay current. I was supposed to start college when I was 18 but I didn't get accepted into any of the colleges I applied to except one and it was my last choice but I was going to go anyway just to impress my family and basically just to say I was in college. After trying and trying something kept coming up so I took it as a sign from God that I wasn't supposed to be there. So after praying and praying I'm taking a leap and applying to my top choice school that I didn't even apply to the first time because I was too afraid I wouldn't get in. There are exams that I would have to take to catch me up to where I am supposed to be and I ask that everyone pray for me to get a high score on that exam. Also, once in college *because I am speaking it into existence* I would like to start my own online business but honestly I am afraid that I won't be successful. I had that idea since the summer of 2017 but I never jumped.

I just want to say thank you, Breeny. I saw this video last year and it motivated and encouraged me to get certified to teach English as a foreign language so I can travel abroad. Now, I'm officially certified and now I need to take the next step and apply to schools so I can teach in other countries. But I'm nervous about public speaking as a new teacher, so I'm watching this a second time to give me encouragement to face my fears of public speaking in front of children/adults so I can finally go abroad.
