This is the best way to bleed the T/O bearing. We receive many phone calls on how to properly bleed the hydraulic bearing, so here is our tech video. The sprung type OE style hydraulic bearing in the video is the same style used in our Ford Mustang and Dodge clutch upgrade kits.
The "Urban Legend" is to pump the pedal 1 million times to let the air out, this simply is not the case. We suggest bleediing the slave cylinder while on the bench before the installation on the vehicle. The bearing must be bleed for the system to work correctly.
Tech Tip: Use a short length of rubber hose and small cup of fluid to remove air from the throwout bearing (watch the video).
Be sure to watch our other clutch bearing video explaining "All about Air-Gap" here • Hyrdraulic Throwout Be...

Best and most detailed video yet. Just replaced my concentric slave bearing on my seat Alhambra and taking these steps first made the job bleeding the system so much easier.. brilliant upload thank you for sharing..👍🍀😁

Why would you leave the cylinder with the bearing facing up like that and the line at the bottom? Air bubbles go up not down. That method looks like it would be great at trapping a lot of air.

While your video quality and presentation is overall excellent (better than I could do), I don't see how this is applicable to an actual installation. Once you install the bearing, you have no way to press/release the bearing because it is inside the bell housing. If I were to do this prior to installation, I would have to plug the oil line with something to keep the (supposedly air free) oil from running out. Then somehow magically connect the oil line (from the master cylinder) without introducing any air. I think I'm going to try the vacuum method.

i think this is more of a prep video when you are installing the slave/throwout bearing so you don't run into the issue.

Just cut a big window on your bell housing. Easy Peasy! But srsly these new designs are fucktarded i’d love to meet the engineering coming up with this stuff and beat them to death

@@ballstoyou33same situation. What did you end up doing?

Actually if you push the inner part of the slave forward with 10lbs of air. You pull the line off fill with brake fluid re attach the line ..when you install a bit of fluid will drain out..no air in line reconnect with main line ..works.fine

once it is installed in the car, how can you Change the fluid in it?
@MailboxReviews

You bleed it; thats how untill fluid runs clean from bleeder valve (while keeping clutch master cylinder filled so it doesn't suck air

What is that spacer? We installed a new flywheel that was thinner than the silly dual plate flywheel. We need a spacer. We have ruined 2 throwout bearings because it extends too far and falls apart. Does anyone have a solution that you can do without having to buy a new thicker flywheel. ??? Thanks for reading

If your flywheel is 15/16 " to 1" thick A.750 spacer is fine behind the slave drive...especially 2012 later mustang mt82 transmission...

Is your clutch very soft after doing replacing the clutch and slave cylinder. I got mine back from the mechanic and it feels like i am stepping on marshmallows

Pump air out
@michaelkennedy2528
@michaelkennedy2528 5 лет назад
I have this on my Mustang. I cannot see how what you are doing gets the air bubble out. The air bubble is up at the top, next to the bearing, when you push it down, the air bubble remains at the top. Now, if you turned it upside down, and made appropriate hose length changes, and cycled it like you did before, then I can see where this would be effective.

@@codycombs88 I'll be putting mine back together in the coming days, I have a method that works perfect, crazy easy and is done with everything installed in the car. In fact, the method I use pumps the cylinder up super quick and all you have to do is hook up the hose and can literally drive away. These cylinder s are crazy the way they are designed. I will make a video of how I do it and shoot you a link for future reference. Stay safe, peace.

I put the dyno number in the video with the dyno sheet in thevideo. Have a few videos of my car on the dyno also, loud as hell, so if Ipost them, turn the volume all the way up so you can get the full effect lol

Allow a good demonstration you can't actually get all the air out like that because there will always be air at the top so you would need to put it on its side like it would be in a vehicle with a pipe of the top so that the air can leave.
