I’m using the blower trailer with my truck today which is similar to a tipper in looks but works quite differently. I do this occasionally as holiday cover and I deliver feed to farms. Enjoy ☺️
Just stumbled apon your videos by chance …. Subscribed soon after , hats off to you bonnie lass ! … Setting the bar high for others to follow , not just super talented at your job but you have a real infectious enthusiasm ! … I had a young lady as my apprentice in the building trade and I know from that how hard the stereotypes and stigma can be for women in a male dominated job , but she proved everyone wrong and excelled to win massive recognition ! …. Just as you are doing … Stay safe , keep on keeping on ! 🚚 👏👏
From one hgv driver to another....that's definitely a delivery that some drivers would dread. In fact I would go as far to say some drivers wouldn't cope. This vid shows without doubt you know your stuff, even more so in the dark.....in case anyone thought you had it easy. For those who don't drive hgvs.....night driving is a completely different beast. Big up to you Jem for showing the boys how it's done. 🙂
Thank you! Yes it’s not the easiest of places. I’m sure a lot of people think I don’t know what I’m doing but myself and my boss does so that’s all that really matters, thank you for thinking so too ☺️
Start my first job in class 1 ( tipping) aggregates and feeds...this Monday..gonna chill and watch some of your vids...within a few weeks all going well I'll be up and down the country, nights away....can't wait.
You are a breath of fresh air when it comes to lady truck drivers, love watching driving around the UK countryside, now that I live in OZ. Love to see how you would go with a bulker 'B' double here in OZ. Safe driving.
Clicked on the channel and thought, oh here we go, how wrong i was! a super capable girl, bet mum n dad are so proud of you, good luck with your trucking career.
For a none trucker. Its really interesting to me. I can still never get my head around how you all make reversing look so easy. As I said on a previous video. I love the fact that you're showing that women can easily do a mans job and thats ace. Keep it up
Full respect to you for what you do, I'm a hgv driver on adr and you certainly work harder than I do you gave some tricky reverses as well enjoy watching your videos
Excellent videos and veryinformative on the tips and tricks required. Used to do tipper work out of Tilbury, Lytag (sp?) from the power station mainly and some other stuff as well.
Really interesting to see how the trailer works, currently on salvage transporter but thinking of trying working for local agri fim, looks tough but interesting work!
You came towards me the other day near Buckland At Mary,on A 303 ,I used to do a lot of blower work and found some dairy farms the worse with having to work around milking times and blowing feed long distances which could be a nightmare when pipe left full previously, you are an inspiration to all women driver's, no reason why women should not take up this profession . Safe trucking.
Thank you! ☺️ when I was on the milk collection it was always a juggle with milking times and feed deliveries. It’s amazing what goes in to making farms productive ☺️
Another great video Jem! Well done for not losing your sh.t when fitting was missing 🤦🏻♂️ blimmin thing made me chuckle 🤭 As always your reversing is spot on 👌 your truck is so smart looking, even my Mrs was admiring the art work on the front corners and back, I heard her saying something about pirate's 🤣🤣 wishing you a Happy New year and looking forward to more videos 🤞👍
Haha that was me loosing it🤣 I just think there is nothing I can do😁 yes I’m very lucky to have it. And I love the pirates of the Caribbean films☺️ glad your better half likes it too ☺️ happy new year
@@jemmawarren27 she's not really into truck's (yet🤣) think I'll be aloud to watch you now she likes the truck though 🤣 might give her a break from watching farming and tractor's for a bit 🤣🤣
I've followed you for a while on Instagram and recently subscribed to your channel on here and so glad I have,I absolutely love your accent and could listen to you all day long🤣🙏look forward to 2023 and what content you brig to us,cheers🙂👍
You do some great reverse girl. I used to move a (boat race type boat) trailer with a Discovery and had to be very careful reversing, partly because of the very forward pivot point and partly because the first point of contact would have been the boat ends at several thousands of pounds each. You are my substitute out and about at the moment due to being in hospital waiting for the anti blood clotting injections to work - boring doesn’t cover half of it!
Just found your RU-vid channel and having been mostly on bulk farm haulage all my driving career it brings all the memories back. Makes me realise what a hard job it can be at times and dirty but you get on with your work enthusiastically well done. It may pay your boss with only one push fit PTO coupling to get it changed keep up the good work.
In my eyes driver of the year! Loved the video and seeing how you put those skills to use, the farmer seemed helpful in making sure you were OK.... I guess that is one of many reasons you like this part of the industry. Really enjoyed watching and it's nice to hear someone from my part of the world (well North Somerset) is not too far!
What a perfect intro to the video. I have to say ive never blowed a load like that. lol. You are fromEurope and im from the U.S. and i have seen some very good female truck drivers and you are at the top of the list. In the U.S. people think trucking is a mans world. Hell no its not. Your proving that in Europe as well. God bless all woman truck drivers. Love your videos and as long as you show them i will watch. God bless you and safe trucking girl.
Great video Jemma love the way you talk about what your doing and how your going to go about it think is good because if your not in the job it's just a truck and trailer but as we no it's not as easy as that and a lot of farm's aren't made for big trucks great job 👍👍
Great video. Many years on the bulk blowers delivering round mainly North Wales. Now picking milk up from the same farms I used to deliver too. Where's that 32 years gone 😂
Hi Jemma hope your keeping well , like ! looking gorgeous as always, brill video, them push on adapters can be a pain if the sides are scratched or marked , I have them on the hydraulic breakers, and idiots run over them if not in bag and tied when not in use ! Glad you got a shower, nothing worse then sticky stuff all over you. 😉 you take care on them roads x and with the head cam , it will be fine ,Rome wasn’t built in a day ! You can do anything you put yer mind to 👍
Thank you! It’s frustrating when people don’t look after things. Yes agreed. Sometimes a shower a day can make all the difference to how you feel, even if they are normally not that nice ☺️
@@jemmawarren27 thanks Jem I had to keep re editing my comments, because I’m working the weekend near Kent moving rock , on the beach and it’s peeing down and doing two things at once 😂
Awesome work jemma hope you are well and enjoying life to the full. A bit rough in the winter but the weather should be picking up soon enjoy the summer months when the summer arrives take care and good luck for the future phil.
Hi Jemma another great video yet another tight place to get into these farmers have all this land & open space but the farm yards are so tight too get into
Thanks for posting, I drove one for a very short while, but it took me 6 months to get the smell of pig sh%t out of my nose. A few years later I used to delivered with a curtain sider to the same mill I had worked for..the smell was still there!
Love watching your videos as a truck lover ( non driver though) I like the way you explain stuff to laymen’s like me , I have a best mate who moved to OZ 12 years ago now & he was lucky enough to get a job with 888Racing in Brisbane ( dream job ) he sends me videos when he can ( most of it the team won’t let him send behind the scenes for obvious reasons keep up the great videos
Well that was full of innuendoes 😂. I’m hoping to do class 2 HGV at some stage when work allows it, unfortunately there is one person ahead of me to do his before I can be put forward for mine.
Great video as ever, your backing skills are spot on, going in at the start that was good but going to the second bins in the dark looked really hard. As a farmer I think I'd be trying to make some more room for the lorries to get in, it was probably fine with eight wheeler lorries. At least the farmer shows some concern and you're not alone on some out farm (secondary farm) that only sees workers to feed the livestock. Happy trucking and Happy New Year 😊
Thank you. Yes the farmer there is great and really helpful as he knows it’s difficult for the drivers. He’s one of those that really loves what he does. Unfortunately I don’t think he will be able to change the lay out through no fault of his own. Happy new year to you too ☺️
@jemmawarren8396 honestly when I saw the title I was thinking to myself "how to blow a load.....I seen this type of thing on the ermm hub wink wink" lmao
Hi Jemma, I'm new to your channel, although I do watch other truck drivers channels too. I found that your channel is more fascinating as you appear to have a 'roving camera' that seems to follow you around whilst you're driving and also when you are doing 'other work'. I think that this is a good style of content to have as it looks very professional too. I would be interested to learn or be told how you do this? You are clearly a very passionate person for your profession and I find this inspiring too. Keep up the good work and stay safe.
Fantastic video Jemma, you have kind of inspired me to get my C+E licence and try and do tipper haulage, hope you and yours have a fantastic New Year and congratulations and nearly 6K. Again Happy New Year!
Happy new year,, great vid, use to watch the silos been filled factory next door out of containers,, some got into fair hardship if went wrong, Nice title 😃 Ssfe travels 👍☘️👏
@@jemmawarren27 Er Jemma, Read you heading title. Yes, i know I have schoolboy humour but, ask you mate Lucy(?) if I'm wrong. Great filming, I don't know if the headcam is the right device
Oh how well I know the blow trailers. I live in the USA and our pneumatic trailers as we refer to them are quite different than yours. Keep up the good work!
Hi jemma I just started watching your videos they are really interesting I drove a blower rigid for 6 years always hated the fine meal drops pulling a tanker now so not as much hardship 😆 thanks for the vlogs
Nice vid Jemma, bit of a grim old day. Whilst your clothes dry don’t they stink a bit from that meal. That blower work can be a bit challenging I think. That adaptor that was missing would have caused me to say some bad words, so well done you. When it’s early in the morning and it’s heaving with rain it can try any drivers patience. Happy new year.
Yes and these things always happens when it rains 🤣 yes I just stick it in a bag until I get home on a Friday and give it a good wash. Happy new year ☺️
Really enjoying following you but feeling jealous I was unable to do artic work and end up buses and coaches which I preferred. But interesting watching you work and what is involved. Glad your boss is pleased with your work. I tried to reverse a tractor unit onto a trailer once myself for parcel line. The driver gave me a shot at it. I missed the connection 😂 but these days I drive a Powerchair and I get my chir into the lockdown in my van np. I’m Disabled due to idiot drivers on the road. But love watching you and others on RU-vid. Thanks for sharing.
Another awesome video Jemma, it’s really interesting to see how those loads are blown, never new how much goes into the operation of it all. I’ve always found bulk work interesting, I use to work out of Gregory’s in Cullompton a few years back and I would watch the trucks at ABN go in and out. Looks like it can be hard graft in all weathers but you take it all in you stride 👍🤛. Keep on trucking Jemma, looking forward to the next one 👍😊
Another fantastic vlog Jemma, your such a skilful driver. I wish I had the courage to have a change of career & drive HGV’s. It’s that reversing down the tiny, narrow lanes that keeps me from going for it 🥵. Love your Vlogs, keep them coming & a Happy New Year to you & your family 🎉xxxxxx
Great video I think the blowers is one of the best jobs a round I wanted to go on the feed but all the mills have closed local to me it takes great skill to use the equipment and even more to reverse in the yards etc some are really tight my dad did this for 30 he taught me how to use one years a go mainly on a 8 wheeler so I haven't used a trailer much would be good if you could show more on the controls at the back how to start the auger and the speed etc great video
Thank you. Yes it’s definitely a job that gets into your blood. Sad to hear that there is no where close to you to work. In my area we seem to have many places. Yes I would really like to do a video that explains more so watch this space ☺️ happy new year ☺️
@@jemmawarren27 I drive for a builders merchant so my truck has a hiab cranes on have driven artic's etc on bulk taking raw materials in to mills etc it's not an easy job to only thing is we don't get to drive smart units any more only basic fleet trucks your truck certainly is one of the smartest around have happ new year and can't wait to see more of your adventures
@@jemmawarren27 you said in one of your comments that you all so drove a milk tanker that sounds like another interesting job .we can all drive trucks but it's using the equipment on the trucks that's the interesting bit .I also want to go abroad but it's having the nerve to do it we have some female drivers at are company .people like you are helping to bring more in to the industry.think it's really cool safe travels and keep on trucking 👍
Good job, I know for a fact it’s not always easy, I served my craft apprenticeship as an HGV technician with a company that ran vacuum tankers, blowers, UHPWJ equipment among other kit, we regularly got sent out to operate/drive and some of the places we went were interesting to say that, does your Unit have a diff lock???
Hope you had a good Christmas 🎄. That blower trailer looks like a job that needs careful concentration. One thing I wondered if on these jobs you might use overalls not very glamorous but practical to save you normal clothes getting mucky. Also, I saw on an American blog I short video on in cab security I think I found you on fb and sent a link via fb messenger. Regards Austin.
Thank you. Yes you definitely need to be on the ball. I carry plenty of changes of clothes for things like this. In 14 years I’ve never had any problems with security. Scanias come with extra security bits on the doors
Well you have certainly mastered the art of enticing thumbnail and video title Jemma :-). This was an interesting video to me, I work on farms and have seen tipping trailers, walking floor trailers as well as push wall trailers for sawdust and shavings etc but i havent seen a feed trailer unload like this one. Carry on, drive safely.
