We're Bassin' on E Park Fishing Channel. I usually release my catch but wanted to try out some Largemouth Bass. My friend Peter told me about it tasting like Sea Bass and I gotta say... it's not bad! Pretty easy to cook, and most importantly, SUPER fun to fish for. They have a fierce strike and are pretty aggressive fighters! The rig I used was insanely simple: a free-lined soft plastic worm on a 1/0 offset shank worm hook. The weight of the worm and a 9ft rod gives more than enough casting power for a small creek.
Rod: 9 ft medium fast-action Ugly Stik GX2
Reel: Beast 6500 baitrunner
Line: 10lb Monofilament (the cheap kind)
Hook: 1/0 worm hook and 2/0 "Slow Death" hook
Bait: 4" berkley worms, in natural and black, rigged weedless/Texas

I like catching them with small spinners. They work well in lakes in late August and early may. You can catch up to 16 inches with those.

Did you not scale the skin side of your filet?
@hughjass1835
@hughjass1835 9 месяцев назад
I don't. The scales help keep the skin from burning before the meat is done cooking

Just fillet the fish properly, then put on a pan with oil and flip once
