An easier way is to, have the thief ring equipped, entering the arena, 'Don't approach it' Just aim the camera up and cast poison cloud, It may take a few shots to get the angle, But this way the boss won't even move/agro,

Tried this, he came in through the left side of the pillar instead of the right, I ran and it worked. But then after taking some damage he walked back to the centre of the arena, and he just stood there and didn’t even move, I thought he would attack me if I went close to him so I got ready to try again after the poison wore off, but he kept standing still, so I used poison again until he died. I think I broke his AI by accident

Accidentally made it black world tendency, this game is trying my patience

Worked first try first playthrough, on NG+ took about five tries to get him in the corner. I did the regular way with another character which was faster but this was definitely easier!

I must have caused the game to bug out or something cause when I tried this trick the boss just stood in the middle of the room like I wasn't there anymore 😅😅😅

He didn’t get stuck there for me. However, I did circle around a few times trying to get him stuck and he eventually got stuck on top of the stairs. Then he got bored and walked down to the middle. I walked up behind him and kept applying poison. Worked great.

I tried your strat and it worked first time until Flamelurker got bored and wandered back to the centre of the arena. I went back to the pillar you lure him to and kept casting poison cloud but he never aggro'd to me again and eventually died 🤷‍♀

Thanks it works fine.. just run once around the pole and he stuck totally. He not even moved once 😂

I was too slow and he ran around it with me😂

It’s worked I did it the first time and he forgot about me so I just kept hitting him with poison cloud and he died

Still works , but I improvised it with cloak spell ; he de aggro’s immediately

was about to angrily type this doesnt work in 2024 but then remembered im playing in fractured mode soooo dont be a total muppet like me fractured is left side of the room as you run in, o and death cloud doesnt work on him for some reason

is this patch. he never got stuck for me i tried 4 times.

Doesn't work anymore Update: Never got this cheese to work. I actually spent more time (20+ attempts) trying to do this than it ultimately did to do it honestly. I recommend just getting the Purple Flame Shield and some other Flame Resistance methods, it drastically reduces the threat of Flamelurker. Beat it first try after that. Hardly any damage gets through if you keep the shield up

The only boss i wouldnt cheese. Fighting this bastard is quite fun.
