I love how in touch with your audience you are. This is definitely something I would be down to get into. I've been obsessed with FS skating for the longest, just never really gave it a shot.
Word, freestyle boards are great for those freestyle tricks. If you’re not trying to dive in head-first, you can put freestyle wheels and skid plates on your street board
Mike Osterman thanks for the response man, you gained a sub, also I’m looking for a board where I can freestyle but I also love street skating and skate parks
if you're gonna stick with a popsicle to freestyle, skate baker, toy machine, or birdhouse decks. they're mellow concave which is best for dancin' and you're local shop should have em. tensor trucks are honestly the best for freestyle imo too, they're rodney's company after all, but i'd suggest getting em a size smaller so u can equip those waltz wheels! this is my setup and i'm about on the same boat as u
Atm im riding "The fuel" in 7.5'' and in comparison to the decks i was using before, the Waltz decks definitely feel like the perfect balance between street board and freestyle board. I was really surprised about the stability you have especially when balancin caspers, and not even the flat nose of single kick boards gave me this great feeling. Since i like doin street tricks here and there between my freestyle combos, i feel like the Waltz decks are the type of decks i needed. Really stoked to see what Waltz is gonna come up with in the future!
The prophet is great but i need more nose can ya make 1 with a wide nose and bu5 with a 3 or 4" concave but also need a 8.25 or bigger or I'll just sand creatue boards. But I'm working with oj hot juice i prefer soft wheels keep it up with the nose and tail plates but id love LOVE love 1 in an 8.5, ive been using 20yr old tail plates filed down
Hey man I’m 6 foot 2 and have bigger feet. I usually skate street but want to try freestyle a little bit. What board and size would you suggest? Also do you ever use shin guards? If so what kind? Lastly, I’d like to buy a complete setup with trucks wheels, grip tape and those plastic things on the tails. Does your company sell completes?
I have some Indy 129s titanium trucks laying around. What deck size do you recommend? Keeping in mind the offset (if any) from the big freestyle wheels. Thx
I know this video is three years old now but I’m a size 9.5 mens and I usually ride a 8.25 street board. What size do you recommend me getting out of your new 7.4 or 7.6 boards?
Hi there at Waltzskateboards i was just wondering why i havent seen any of your decks in Australia? and if you do ship them here were can i buy one really love the looks an everything about your boards and cant wait untill i can own one of them please let me now were in Australia hopefully Melbourne city somewhere i can purchase one, thanx.
Hi, we are working on finding distribution in Australia. We currently operate out of California and shipping to Australia is quite expensive. When our boards are back in stock I’m hoping to work with a distributor down there. Stoked that you’re interested in our stuff and I hope you keep enjoying freestyle!!!
what trucks do you suggest with these decks? im a street skater and want to get a freestyle setup. found some ace 11 for $20 a set any decks that work with the ace trucks?
+Bernhard Mohler ours has an extra 0.25” on the nose and tail. It’s also got a unique nose and tail shape rather than being symmetrical. Otherwise, the width, wheelbase, and concave will feel very similar
@Mike Osterman okay thank you for the fast reply, I am thinking to to start freestyle skating and the moonshine is a good complete for its price 😄 amazing Videos keep up the good work 👌
+Joe Drums me too :\ fortunately, waltz boards will be back in stock at Never Enough Streetstore in Germany within the next month of two. That might make it more doable
@@mike_osterman1 any idea if the 7.75 will be back soon at the Never enough street store? Or your two previous graphs maybe 😍 otherwise i'm going for a 7.3 to start learning, but my streetdeck is 7.5 and feels way to small....
Mike Osterman thank you dude! I’ve watched ur video on how to set up skid plates. Just a matter of free time and getting some clips of them dance moves ;)
Damn...so Waltz doesn't approve of people with large feet skating (size 13 shoe here)? 😜 Would there or is there ever going to be an 8" freestyle deck from you guys?
+Dan gah! That’s not at all what we’re saying hahah We don’t have an 8” available *yet* but don’t count it out. 7.75” is actually the largest freestyle board on the market these days 😬
@@mike_osterman1 going off this comment to ask what exactly I should look for when picking a freestyle board. Do you generally want a smaller board width than your street set up? What about wheelbase and deck length?
Vince Vickers I’d only recommend Indy 129’s if you were pairing them with street wheels (like conical street wheels). With offset FS wheels (ie. Decomposed mantis wheels), i would recommend something smaller like the minilogo 7.3 or Thunder 143 with a couple of washers behind each wheel
+Lanji UPSB yeaaaah, I’m just trying something new. Since I want to give everyone the highest quality videos that I can, I wanna focus on just getting something uploaded on a loose weekly basis rather than sticking to a concrete schedule. That being said, I’ll be uploading mostly on Sundays
Mike Osterman also you inspired me to do freestyle, i can do a heelside railstand and a walk the dog, im planning to practice tail stop fingerflip, smoothie, primo flip as soon as its saturday :b
