@@greenruges6946 Always start light to warm up the hamstrings then progress to a weight you can do 10 to 12 reps easy for a few weeks, then crank up the weight so them 10/12 become almost failure at 12
Keep in mind, the Five stars are based on my needs for this item ru-vid.comUgkxUHHotQRjIQnfuxEeVotlkHVYWH0DXZoS When I first bought the bike I was going to return it immediately. After trying it out for several days/weeks I came to realize it is actually perfect for WHY I bought it.This is not a workout, the resistance is, eh, it makes a bit of noise, not loud, and it isn’t very stable even with the mat. The mat certainly keeps the bike from sliding but nothing keeps the mat from sliding (if that makes any sense, lol). Mine is place on my hard wood floor. Maybe it would be better with a rug underneath??I sit for long hours for work and wanted something to keep my legs moving. This bike does exactly that! For the price it is amazing, it is compact, easy to use, light weight, keeps track of time, calories etc (not sure how accurate it is) but good little product. I am happy with it.
Momentum is such a sinister force. This lifter, while giving the advice to NOT use momentum, engages its use to a degree herself. Notice when she reaches the point of full muscular contraction that the weight ricochets ever so slightly at the end of the raising phase. She emphasizes squeezing at this point which is good. Better, would have been to say that "there should be no bounce whatsoever at the point of full contraction. If there is, then the weight was thrown and not lifted. In other words, momentum was used. When momentum is used, less muscular engagement needs to used and hence less of the muscle being exercised gets stimulated for growth. Raising the weight in 10 seconds and lowering the weight in 10 seconds will break every lifters BAD habit of throwing the weight instead of lifting the weight. You will feel the difference, I promise! Far less weight is needed when it is lifted slowly in this fashion, hence making it far safer as well. Additionally, it is easier on the joints, thus enabling you to be able to lift weights for the rest of your life!
