I focus on speed. Mountain climbers are an exercise I include in a circuit of explosive cardio exercises designed to exhaust certain muscle groups and get my heart rate up (way up). I combine this with burpees, chest taps, wind sprints and finish with a :30 heavy bag explosion at my gym. After 5 sets I’m a sweaty, huffy, puffy mess. Save the slow mountain climbers for an ab focused day mixing in regular planks and side planks and whatever other ab workout you like.
Thank you! I was just corrected in a class to look forward - head up. I've always strived for a neutral spine/flat back that keeps the neck in line with the spine, not curved to look up. Where should your gaze be during mtn climbers?
While I'm doing this I am hearing a cracking or popping at my lower back and I'm kinda scared about it, but it doesn't hurt thay much it's just I'm scared or maybe I'm just overreacting
i saw an older video showing this where she put her foot on the ground after raising her knee to her stomach, but all the other videos like this one show to keep your foot off the ground until your leg is straight again. Must be they were done differently 14 years ago?
Help! Due to R wrist/hand injury, I can't flatten hand on the floor. What, if any, is the potential harm if I make a fist with both R/L hands and then proceed? Hope you see this.
