Next, he zooms in on the registration dots and selects them one by one to align the design with the printed image. The software overlays the design on the print, allowing Trevor to verify the alignment. Once satisfied, he proceeds to the next step.
The video then transitions to the Fusion Pro laser cutter, where Trevor explains that the camera for registration is located on the machine's head gantry system. He initiates the registration routine, and the camera hunts for the registration dots, ensuring precise alignment between the design and the print.
With the cutting complete, Trevor removes the cut piece from the laser cutter, highlighting the perforated cuts and tabs that keep the design intact. He folds the piece into shape, showcasing how the perforations allow for easy bending and assembly.

Printing a design and being able to cut it out on a laser is an excellent feature to have. I’ve done it a few times when I get access to a machine with the capability and it makes me want one even more!

Hi Trevor You should make a video on how to use the EPILOG DASHBOARD. Explain from the EPILOG SETTINGS, when to use the TROUBLESHOOTING, what the PRINT QUEUE is for Explain the difference between the ENGRAVE TYPE (Standard, Stamp, 3D) Explain when to use the VECTOR SORTING options ((Optimized, Inside-out, none) Explain how to use the OFFSET Explain when to use the different FREQUENCY percentage options when cutting Explain when to use the CENTER POINT Explain, for example, how to save files in the Epilog's memory, to use them later, without sending them from the computer. For example, how to organize the JOBs on the computer All this can be read in the manuals, but you could look for examples where these features are applied. The video could be called, Epilog's Hidden Features. Thanks in advance.

Do the registration marks have to be a particular size? If so what do you recommend?

I’d have to look back and see what was actually used but try 0.25” diameter and see if that will work for you.

Where do you get the preprinted cardstock with the registration marks?

I got these from Epilog because I was working with them. Usually you either have to print it yourself or source it to a printing company. I’m pretty sure they just outsourced the printing to a company.

I have the fusion edge with the 24x24 bed 50w can it do this?

The camera feature for registration dots is only on the Pro. There are ways around this, but you won’t have the registration dot camera that makes it easier.

@@MakerExperiment oh ok, I was told I have the same two iris cameras that the pro has when I purchased it. I have the larger version of the fusion edge with the 24x24 bed. I wonder if my disturber was misinformed.

@@sewluckyembroidery you can look at the website and tech specs to make sure but I don’t believe the edge series has the registration camera.
