After watching a countless number of your videos, It's like a "Mobile Home Training Academy" ...My 1983 MH needs everything but the roof and about ready to get started. Hi Drew! I want you to know that I find your videos invaluable. I'm actively living in my 2001 double wide while attempting repairs. I had a cpvc pipe failure which I discussed with you months ago. I'm located out of your service area in Bogue, NC. I'm limitied in my abilities because I have to live here while doing my work. The previous owner had completely tiled both bathrooms and every floor on the side of the home that has plumbing. Not to mention he tiled inside and outside of the cabinets. I learned this was to hide issues with the subfloor. Ripping out 13' x 60' of ceramic tile is daunting. I've just been able to take two weeks off of work to focus on my master bath (where the leak was) and my master closet. It appears the damaged subfloor only extended 1 foot into my master closet after removing everything in the closet and half of the bath tile. However as you know, this is the cheap particle board subflooring. My goal during this next two weeks is to strip out all of the tile (floor, walls, and ceiling!) in the master bath, replace subflooring in the master bath and closet replace the VOG with purple drywall as some walls have mold from the rot subfloor and previous roof leak that I repaired. Then I need to rebuild the bathroom. My question is, when inspecting the master closet, the floor joist appears to be 4" from where the wall that joins the kitchen. I am not ready to tear down or redo this wall right now because it has my upper cabinets and range vent all connected to it. Plus it is tiled on the kitchen side too. If it wasn't for the tile, I'd do it. But the tile makes the job more difficult. So, I was originally going to remove subfloor from all of the closet and replace it, but that wall and the position of the subfloor makes me hesitate. I was thinking of maybe just replacing to the joist and tackle the rest when I am ready to deal with the kitchen which will not be any time soon because I have another bathroom to rebuild first. What do you think? Should I take it all the way to that wall or stop at the floor joist? Thanks! And yes, I plan to do lots of blocking as you advised.

Consider knee pad while you still got knees... I finally got me some and never looking back.. used to install carpet but now I use them every time i need to be on my knees for more than a min... will add YEARS to your knees. I know they a pain in the arse, especially because that strap behind the knee is a bit painful at times.. but better than bruising the kneecaps and taking forever to heal. I am sure you have some experience with that. anyhow just a note. :)

Battery powered tools. The best invention since sliced bread. I have mostly all Ryobi 18+. All my Ryobi 18+ tools I believe are the best and work flawless except the larger brad nailer. I put maybe 50-75 brads thru it and now it's in the landfill. This is not uncommon with these. Unfortunately, those are junk.

have you encountered... sections of the OSB flooring that were under the plate, which is holding up the wall... sections have rotted out and nothing is there (i.e you can say daylight under the plate in those sections) How do you handle this? thanks

Mr Drew. Need your advice: the underbelly of my double wide is shot. Only a few small parts of my subfloor are rotted and need to be replaced. Can I fix my floors first and move into the house, then replace the insulation and underbelly from below later? The subfloor rot was from a leaking window and dishwasher. Didn’t rot from moisture under the house. I can run a de-humidifier under the house until I get around to replacing the underbelly. Want your opinion if you think it’s okay to wait on the underbelly repair.

"Easily?" That's funny. It's never as easy as ya think. There's always 2 to 10 other, "Oh shit! That's godda be fixed too" things goin on. Not to burst any bubbles here. Just sayin.
