In this short video I'll show you how to view the EFI error codes stored in your ECU and then reset or clear the ECU for your Royal Enfield Himalayan.
● List of EFI Error Codes
(MIL will glow continuous. Engine will start but not perform to its potential.)
Follow the procedure outlined in the video to cause your Check Engine or MIL light to blink. Watch and count the binking. There will be long blinks and short blinks. Count the sequence and use the list below to know what component is causing errors.
▪ Long 0 Short 6: Throttle position sensor Malfunction
▪ Long 0 Short 9: Manifold Air Pressure sensor Malfunction
▪ Long 1 Short 2: Engine oil temperature sensor Malfunction
▪ Long 1 Short 3: Intake Air temperature sensor Malfunction
▪ Long 1 Short 7: O2/HEGO Sensor Malfunction
▪ Long 4 Short 5: O2 Sensor heater circuit Malfunction
▪ Long 5 Short 4: EXAI Circuit Malfunction
(MIL will glow continuous. Engine will NOT start but will crank)
▪ Long 6 Short 6: Crankshaft position sensor Malfunction
▪ Long 1 Short 5: Roll over sensor Malfunction
▪ Long 3 Short 3: Fuel Injector Circuit Malfunction
▪ Long 3 Short 7: Ignition Coil Circuit Malfunction
▪ Long 4 Short 1: Fuel pump relay circuit Malfunction
Once the problem has been fixed or corrected, follow the procedure outlined in the second half of the video to clear or reset the ECU on your Royal Enfield Himalayan.

@@valerie3892 - I have a theory that Indian Himalayans are tuned for fuel efficiency, and those sold in the West are tuned for performance - which would explain why Western installations of the PowerTronic don't show much improvement in performance. I'm hoping that Justin's installation might shed some light on this.

Excellent help! Ironically I just had my 2019 model (new late December) apart this week fitting a variety of part, and that involved removing the tank, and disconnecting the fuel pump. Test rode today to test all the mods and guess what, yup it was on! Your video saved me a ton of time and worked first try. I used a wire with alligator clips both ends, and that will now live in the bike with a written version of your directions. Again ironically I tested that wire to see if I can use it to power a relay and wondered what it was for :-) Just glad my LED lights and auxiliary power relay etc was not the cause. Thanks for making this video! Great help!

Thank you so much buddy. This stupid classic of mine has been giving me so much jip these last few months that i even decided to retire it. The engine light would suddenly come on and the bike would stall. I replaced the fuel pump after the cheap & nasty plastic pipe snapped. I cleaned out injector and just tried everything. It would go for a while then suddenly on came the light and the engine cut out. I just applied your magic trick and she is great. Lets hope she stays that way. Living in Scotland I need something extremely reliable, especially as I go way up into the icy hills to nowhere's land. Breakdown up there and i'm in trouble. You can see my clips on my youtube under Adventurescot. Thanks so much for your very helpful video

Thank you for sharing what you've found out about the engine codes. I've had the light on the last two days on my Hima, this was after installing a new headlight, so I thought it was related. Watched your video, went to check what exactly the ECU was saying, and all of a sudden the MIL light goes off. I think my bike is sentient. Anyway, thanks again for sharing I'll be saving this video and sharing it with any other Himalayan owners I meet.
