Great content. Slow and steady. Otherwise mistakes are made and work has to be done 2-3 times and that my friend is how projects get abandoned. You're doing the right thing.

Thanks! We have one more episode...We had put manifold dressing from NPD on the exhaust and wanted to have a few sittings of it running before we installed the accumulator and drew down the system. No point in fighting two battles. The dressing is no longer cooking off, so we are good to go for the next episode.

I would like to share the F100 videos on the Ford Trucks Enthusiasts ‘67-‘72 forum. These videos would help so many people I believe.

They make a foam gasket for the hoses that stuck to the firewall to help seal the hoses and it looks better as well. I am wondering if I will loose my passenger side floor vent with this system

HAHAHA ! I bet your camera crew was rolling with all the "hose" innuendo's. Please quickly cover a couple of small items, did your kit come with a custom glove box? Where does the condensation drain to? Thanks again for a great video !

We'll be hitting all that in the final video. And yes...Well the older ones were laughing.

Maybe I missed it, but why didn't you use hard tubing for the high side discharge?
@AutoRestoMod
@AutoRestoMod 5 лет назад
We used what the kit came with. There has to be some flex tube in the system.

I noticed you put a plate over the fresh air vent. So how are you going to get fresh air into the truck through the AC?
@TxStang
@TxStang 5 лет назад
so many cab air leaks in these old trucks i don't think that will be a problem :)
@AutoRestoMod
@AutoRestoMod 5 лет назад
Vent window? Your most efficient A/C is recirculated. It takes a bit longer to get the hot air out without the fresh air available, but I'll generally roll down the windows and run the A/C, does the same thing.
@DavidM-nf6fl
@DavidM-nf6fl 5 лет назад
Nice work guys. I do enjoy your videos. This is just an observation. It seems like an odd way to run the hoses out through the old vent, cab tower, wheel well, to inner fender. The hoses seem a bit exposed. I liked the system until I saw that. I have an aftermarket A/C in my bump and the hoses go through the firewall. It's a stand alone unit, not integrated with the heater like the VA system. I haven't looked up the instructions for the unit you are installing, so is this really the way or did you improvise?
@andreaslarka1633
@andreaslarka1633 4 года назад
I have thought about the same thing. You have these wonderful new and modern AC systems, and then you have to close off the fresh air intakes?!? That means that you have no fresh air and only circulate dust and used air inside the cab. Not very nice.
