I'm in the same spot as you. But Alibaba is the LAST place I want to take my idea. For starters, you'd have to hire a firm to oversee quality control and efficiency of production.
As someone who has been in supply chain for almost 20 years, this video provides excellent information for sourcing products. There will be mistakes during this process is a very true statement, even with the most seasoned supply chain professional. Please do your homework; there are many pieces to this process in-between each item the video discusses, such as bid evaluations, detailed drawings and specifications, and logistics. You need to understand these items in greater detail along with the entire supply chain cycle.

You'll want to reach out to the supplier directly. Some suppliers do allow this but it's best to speak to one so you can get an estimate. They'll be able to answer these questions for you about these products since each supplier can vary. -Rio

Great presentation, thank you! But asking these people to verify their human rights policies, and "Earth friendly" procedures is not in my mind, realistic. I doubt they'd be truthful about any of that. And documented "facts" of such from their end would be, and most likely are, easily falsified.
