So I had this issue just now but it happened as soon as I logged into my account. My fix was to boot the console into safe mode and then to update to the latest firmware which as of today is version 20.02-02.30.00. FYI this issue occurred for me even with my console connected to ethernet.

my console keeps shutting off everytime I'm playing a game & continues with this error. trying the software update now then going to restart console

@@WeRideAtMidnight same. I bought one the other day and it crashed all the ps5 games and nothing solved the issue. Ended up returning it. Hope you had better luck.

I appreciate you posting this, as it seems it's drawing the focus in the right direction at least. I'm not so sure this is a 'fix', as I originally had our PS5 setup over a hard ethernet connection, but, from the glitches I've seen, this being the worst, upon trying your method, it found us having moved the PS5 to a new location so we could use the cable that came with it, as we were having some serious HDMI drop outs combined with these bugs, and it was hard to tell them apart. Your method did jog the system from continuously crashing, at least for now. Likewise, we experienced a sound glitch where it would distort all system sound that was retrievable by switching in and out of the sound output.. Similarly, I wonder if this might simply need to be disconnected and reconnected to whatever setting you were in. I feel this is a jog reset, and not a fix. If anyone is interested, I'll keep this updated as to how permanent of a fix this is, and if it returns and is fixable in the same way repeatedly.

@@luigiluigi8086 Unfortunately, we had to replace it. Namely, gamestop allowed us to return it, and then eventually admitted that they couldn't give us a replacement and so gave us a refund. I eventually found another, and it runs flawlessly, which does suggest this was more than a software problem.

It still happens to me even though I have had my PS5 hardwired since day 1. Any other ideas as of why? And could this brick the system?

Seems to me that Sony needs to step up and recall the units showing these symptoms, or admit it as a problem to be software fixed to stop this unbelievable waste of everyone's time.

Mine was crashing once I entered into my profile, I get the error message then press accept, sometimes it crashes after I press accept to send message. I decided to press the do not send message and then I was able to get back into my profile so I could play games. This is definitely a problem because when I initially turn on the PlayStation 5 it still crashes when I go onto my profile 🤷🏾‍♂️

I actually saw switching to wifi. Among other things. Wifi actually toned down my ce code error code happening. Mine pops up on kill cams during cold war. Literally once every 15 matches. Crashes the game the i have to go back into the game. Which leads me to believe its maybe a error on games and a small end of ps5. I called sony they said they are working on fix. Min you i called on new years eve

This video needs more downvote. This has nothing to do with Internet its hardware problem , and you should contact Sony. This Error Code have no FIX yet. Plus his describtion on the video saying otherwise than title.
