When I did this update on my Minn Kota Terrova I had to hold the pair button in on the trolling motors head until my phone found the TM's Bluetooth connection. Then after I connected it on the phone I then released the button on the TM's head. That then found the update for the trolling motor and the remote. I was at home with my phone connected to wifi so update was a lot faster also. The initial update was for trolling motor then I had to go to my Bluetooth minn kota remote and go to update menu to apply the update to the remote. If the pair button isn't held down on TM until the connection is made it will only show the update for the remote and not the TM. Hope this helps someone in the future. Thanks for a great channel. Same annoying problem here. I already have mine turned down to -2, but I cannot tell that it makes any difference… it still throws the boat all around at times. I didn’t know there was an update for this, so hopefully it will help. Thanks for the awesome video.

@@AsleepAtTheReel well well! I must admit that I did not expect the update to fix it, but it sure looks like it did. Been out twice and it's a lot better. Was really windy today and it controlled the boat as it should. No jerking and over shooting. And bumping it around in spot lock works better also! Thanks again for making the video.

I have this problem when I press the spot lock button mostly on calm days. Thought it was just a glitch with the trolling motor. I will certainly look into solving my problem now that I’ve seen your video.

It fixed for me. I felt the same, to where I was ready to spend money on a different motor. This truly fixed my problem. I look forward to hearing if it fixed yours!
