Still there, but filled with paint and far less visible. Plus, filling the chips with paint also protects the paint from chipping or flaking off at the edge of the chips.

You could still see filled chips after you were finished, the paint wasn't completely leveled with the surrounding surface .

This looks like doo doo. I use ceramic coat prep spray and then 99% alcohol to clean the paint. Then I use a good quality touch-up paint and overfill all the holes for shrinkage. Then I come back with a plastic razor and gently shave anything over the surface. And finish it off with a bit of hand glaze to wipe off anything left over from the touch-up paint. It's the best method I found so far but was exploring options because once in awhile, probably due to hot and cold changes the chip will pop out.

I think it’s better to use something to fill up the deeper chip holes before applying this paint solution. As for the deeper ones, after painting it’s still visible for someone who has a OCD like me. Is there any spot putty you’d recommend using before applying this paint?

You could do that, but for those deeper chips it will always be a bit of an issue to get a perfect, this is mainly for road rash / very minor nicks and chips. Though you should try it and let me know how it works and maybe I can do a follow-up video doing something similar :-)?

@@carswithsonduren of course. I have a ttrs and a c63s. C63s front bumper paint has been beaten really hard over the last fees years and has like a thousand tiny chips on it. Although I clean my car very two weeks or month I have never tried to repaint those chips so I will try it out

I’m going to try this. I have chips I filled with paint but haven’t levelled it. So from an angle, you can see the texture. I’m assuming you can repaint over the old paint I used? And then level it?

Good product, I may need this. I’m curious you also have that Audi, so is this Lexus your daily driver? Certainly these things are workhorses and are good for that. I use my IS250 as my daily.

Yes this is my daily driver while the R8 is my garage queen and track weapon. Absolutely adore this Lexus, so reliable and built like a tank I'm sure if I took this out to the track and gave it a ripping it would be completely fine. Toyota quality and reliability is all over this car.

Nope not required! You could if you wanted to, but honestly, you don't need to.

Hey just discovered your videos, managed to chip my own car 😢 in the videos you say its around 72-80 dollars for the kit but im seeing there lowest kit price is 100$ did they increase the price? And does this paint bottle expire, example if i chip my car again in another 2 years would it still be fine to use on it you think?

Yea inflation has raised the price and 2 years is a long time, keep it stored inside in that case so it doesn’t freeze.

I actually hate these little tiny chips. I once took my IS250 to a automated car wash and I swear it chipped the paint a little. Tiny spots. Well this tip you show has inspired me to do the same thing! Since I’m in the USA I can’t get this product but we have similar ones here. Thanks for this video.

I remember I used to spend so much time dabbling with touch-up paint wet sanding compounding polishing all for a few minor stone chips and it wouldn't even look as good! Absolutely love the results that this kit provides.

Is this a joke video? Firstly….why blob all that additional paint all around the chip, just to have to wipe it off? So ridiculous. Secondly, the chips have a bit of paint residue left them in but there is still a really obvious visible crater. This is probably the worst paint chip video I have watched. Nobody should watch and use this method, it is the worst, absolute awful.
