I did same and looked up new blades and they were more than the clipper. I called whal and they sent packs of replacements for free. They are a good company. They rather you have your old stuff working.

You can save money by getting the ceramic cutting blade by itself instead of the whole blade assembly.

You could buy just the ceramic inner cutting blade for $10-$12. No need to buy the Andis blade for $30.

I wouldn’t either, but he mainly only does Tapers so that blade can be managed while doing tapers, he uses a guard for the longer part of his head so it won’t really matter, anyone who has been cutting for a while would still be able to use that blade and have a successful cut when it’s simple cuts like he gets and it’s his head so I don’t think he cares if it’s off just a little bit, now if he were cutting clients he’d have to have a new blade.

@Jordan Andre you're buggin..I wouldn't use that blade on me or my clients with or without a guard...the guy bought a detachable blade just for the cutting blade to be able to zero gap the clipper, I'm gonna guess those blades cost $40+. Why would I spend money and my problem is not solved 🤔 😮‍💨 But what do I know I only been cutting for 15 years....

@@TheSimpleLifeOfJosh Nigga I clearly stated I wouldn’t use them either literally in the beginning of my reply lol. I said someone who has been cutting for a while could manage them if they had to especially just doing tapers, I also stated even if experienced, you should never cut a client with a chipped blade, all I did was state that I or experienced barbers could manage that chipped blade and cut if I’m only doing tapers.
