Watching this because I'm looking at a 4cyl Supra. I'm so glad that the B48 has some legit aftermarket support. That piggyback tune looks right up my alley until I pass my warranty.
If im not wrong on this as im doing research as well but the piggyback doesnt appear when they check the car at dealers, if it was a flash tune then it deff would. Again if im not wrong then in one of the videos I saw they talked about the piggy back not appearing after taking out completely
@@alexanderbernard6772 there are plenty of horror stories of blown engines with both piggyback and ecu flashing. I’m just keeping it stock. If you want more power then just buy yourself an M3 and be done with it.
@@postalpancho I myself have a 2.0 but want more power too I didn't go to the m3 or m2 competition because I don't like bmw body styling the 3.0 was too expensive for me at the time but I still like the 2.0 I love it in fact
I have a Dinantronics X on my B48 Cooper S. Bought it second hand for $330. It's around 250hp on 93 octane. Nice thing is that the bluetooth app is built in you don't need a separate adapter for it.
So I found an issue out if you have the manual with a tune. There was a pause between gears and I couldn’t figure it out. Thought it was gas, boost leak etc. its the damn drivetrain setting in sport mode. Turn that shit off if you have the manual 330i b48. Only have chassis selected. My car has no lag between shifts now and is way faster for some odd reason. I have bootmod.
Subscribed and Liked for this B48 Video and looking forward for more B48 upgrades Thanks there is not much people giving some love to this awesome Turbo 4 cilinders Will be super interesting a video about light weight wheels or exhaust I just love the engine and the BMW X3 weight being not as heavy as a 6 cylinder I still have the Car Stock from 2021 model just fitted a BMS Panel Filter and very very happy with the power upgrade for 100$ but I am looking forward to take the car to 300 whp and lower the weight maybe 80kg with Wheels and exhaust I think that will be a really enjoyable car Being a really fast car with sticky tyres and also capable of giving you 500 miles per tank in the highway … I want to see If I can make the car accelerate below 5.5 seconds with intake, exhaust and Remap…. I’m not too sure about the pops but the catless downpipe will smell for like 20min because of burning all the oils off of it and then it shouldn’t smell anymore
Yes there’s a couple of Burble Tunes out there for the B48 & Catless downpipe does smell depending on your gas inside the tank as well & the valves when they open in sport can get obnoxious sometimes but overall nothing crazy.
Hello I'm new to bmw I recently got a 2019 430i b48 I believe, it's been very hot recently but I've noticed it caps out at 160hp after driving around for a bit. Is that due to the outside temperature and the engine is protecting itself or is it a an actual issue with my car?
Why are you in Mexico? Is there a cheaper deals for people working on the car there? I knew somebody recently took their BMW to Mexico. He didn’t tell me why.
exactly i was looking this issue! thanks. but still I talked many people and everyone said if you touch your car you will lose your warranty. even Dinan. i called couple bmw services and they said no warranty. we will void your warranty. I'm confused now. what is your advice ?
Well I guess it depends on what bmw shop because the one by my house said it wouldn’t void my warranty if I used Dinan, really weird they said that to you though.
If you wait for the warranty to expire at 36k/3years or whatever it is, that's 36k/3years of you driving the car in a configuration less than what you wanted. If you think you'll enjoy this car for 100k.mi/10years or whatever...that's almost a third of its lifespan.
Do your B48 engines make a tapping/tappety type of noise on acceleration? I have a BMW 128TI in B48 265hp mode. Many UK owners complain of the ticking noise on acceleration at the middle rev range.
Yes, my 430i does it. 4 Cylinder 2.0 petrol engine. Its making a weird tapping noise sounds a bit like a diesel. First I thought it was the control chain, but that would sound terrible.
@@etking9154 there’s some talk of it being the newer high pres fuel pump but some bmw garages saying it’s the clip on the actuator rod. Fix ready for q3. I can’t reach the rod to feel if the clip is loose and test if it’s that. It’s awful noise
I have a 430i and am stage 2 E30. I have catless dp MST intake. Its ok as far as speed goes. Not the fastest but like he said it can keep up. Went to mexico and raced a 350z (no clue on his mods, but im sure it wasnt stock) and still lost💀 but only by a bumper. So if that is any kind of gauge of speed there ya go. Also raced a mk5 supra and i was keeping up (120mph+ traffic cars) he even thought i had a 435 or 440i! Also i have a video of my car sounds on my yt channel
@@lucasjaramillo3478 that’s something a amateur would say. I got kids so 120 in traffic ain’t the move. My car can hit 120 in 4th gear. But that 20-80mph in in 3 sec my kids go crazy. But ay do you. Be careful
The B48 on the 2020+ M235 has forged internals and it can handle upwards of 700whp. Stronger crank, pulleys, pistons, bigger turbo and lower compression. What your comment says is an outright lie and is false if you're talking about the newer B48s. B46 is another story.
