lae, you are so young! You will find the perfect man for you! There are so many toads that you have to weed through, that it takes time to find your prince charming! Keep your standards high and move on from the guy who has a girlfriend. You can do much better.

If it makes you feel any better I'm in the exact situation except i'm turning 24 next month :| There will be times where it will feel all too much and finding love feels hopeless but keep on working on yourself and when your prince comes you'll already have a great foundation for a solid relationship :)

The advice in the video is good advice for someone who’s trying to get over someone they never talk to, but it’s not good advice for someone who is friends with their crush, has an intense crush, or is fully aware of their crush’s flaws. Here is my advice for you and other people in the demographic that didn’t benefit from this video. Most of this advice is contextual, but some of it is general romantic advice. 1. There is nothing wrong with having multiple crushes. In fact having multiple crushes is a lot more fun than having one crush. If you are like me and typically like at least 3 guys at once, try investing more time in your other, less severe crushes. If you don’t have the tendency to have multiple people, you can be on the look out for cute people next time you’re out in public (you don’t have to talk to these people, but you can if you want to).You can even make it a game and you can involve your friends (however, I would stick with friends you aren’t attracted to for this purpose). 2. Remember that as long as you don’t act on it, it is 100% acceptable to be attracted to people who are in relationships. Right now, some of my healthiest crushes are guys with girlfriends. Just remember to set appropriate boundaries. 3. If you are upset that your crush only seems to view you as a friend, it’s ok to be upset, but try being thankful for your friendship you have with this person. It won’t make the sadness go away immediately, but it will make the sadness more bearable if they are a true friend. This piece advice is easier said than done for many. 4. The idea that you need to love yourself before finding love has truth to it, but it’s really bullshit. The truth is that everyone deserves love, no matter what they’ve done or how they perceive themselves. 5. Just because it wasn’t a relationship that doesn’t make it irrelevant, so don’t let other people make you feel silly for being sad about a crush’s lack of reciprocation if you’ve never had a relationship. 6. Instead of trying to figure out if your crush likes you, try to figure out if you like your crush. If you spend your time figuring out if your crush likes you, it will likely make you insecure and struggle to be yourself. Trying to figure out whether you like your crush will motivate you to get to know them better. 7. When interacting with your crush, try to focus on being yourself. If they don’t like you after that, they aren’t worth your time. 8. Try looking for the positive aspects of everyone around you instead of looking for flaws in your crush. In my experience, looking for flaws was ineffective and sometimes even led to resentment. Looking for the positive traits in others will help you to see that there are a lot of kind people in the world even if it doesn’t help you to move on. 9. If things do work out (whether it’s platonically or romantically), spend less time worrying about hypothetical downfalls and more time cherishing every moment you spend with them. One of my biggest regrets with one of my recent crushes is spending too much time worrying. 10. Don’t force yourself to let go before you are ready to. Sometimes time is the only force that has power over healing a broken heart. Only distance yourself from them if it’s causing sadness and is a LAST RESORT option.

Also, I am 22 and act young for my age, but I also know that nobody’s perfect. In fact, my biggest weakness is falling into the trap of taking the “look for flaws” advice too far and trying to imagine guys I like as demons.
