I know right LOL 😊. Mike Tyson is the type of cat that would hit you 5-10 times in a confrontation before you even realize things are about to get physical 🥊😵🏥🚑.
@@user-ul1vl4hs5r no boxer like him best ever the most brutal the most strongest the most powerful and the biggest knockout artist there ever was Mike Tyson is the greatest fighter of all time
The entrance music by itself when he fought spinks was out of this world.mike had the sound of the first ever cruze missle germany dropped on england to buckle spinks before even the fight started .There Will Never be another mike tyson
Mike is the best in the sport of boxing. Much respect. Love watching you destroy guys with little effort, and gain the respect you deserve. You will always be a living legend.
nowhere near the best. Ali, Foreman would have bulldozed Mike. Foreman has beaten Frazier badly. Frazier that fought just like Mike. Who did Mike Tyson defeat? Name one world class fighter in his prime. Holmes? Old. Spinks? Not world class. Who else? Lennox defeated everyone he lost to. Tyson never did.
When Cus said if he remains dedicated, interested and keeps away from distractions...he knew that can happen and that could be Mikes downfall. Mike still the Greatest tho.
@@isaiah942 Did Ali hit with power, fast? No. As for my power I hit very hard for my size. I am similar weight and size to Tyson. But not his power. He had 26" arms. Mine 19".
There's been some great heavyweights champions in the history of boxing but if we could magically match them all in their prime best my money would be on Mike without a doubt.
Mike is a perfect storm of all the right factors coming together to carve him into this perfect boxer. Too bad everything fell apart. I’m happy he seems to be doing alright now. Much respect 🙏
How does one keep it all together, as time goes by, and they age.? Do you know? You must, because you said everything fell apart for him.. So this is the question... "How does a person keep everything in tact, without succumbing to life's turbulence"?
@@danielspicer2359 it seems for Tyson after Cus passed away he began surrounding himself with people that took his focus away from boxing- Robin Givens, Don King, etc. Tyson left a great mark in the several years he mowed thru HW division, but many thinks he could’ve achieved more. Nonetheless it appears he is now in a happier place.
A human pit bull back then! Wow!…IMO, given where he came from, and all he’s been through (accomplishments and failures),….he’s become remarkably wise. I really liked him back then, and even more so now
8:17 "when you throw a straight punch you move three times, when you throw a hook you move twice" thats very interesting i never noticed that mike does that.
@@Last_Chance.He never just "Got away" from the peekaboo style. Mike's style was developed in it, therefor he would've still used it, although not as much
@@wardog5537 You're right and I do know how the peekaboo style works because I train W it. I never said he stopped using it, he just doesn't use it as much
Reminds me when I was having fun learning MA decades ago and went to a YMCA gym in LA where a semi-pro boxer that was maybe around welterweight. Will never forget it, the guy was practically punching holes in the bag. Thinking, most people could not take more then one or two of those hits. Can only imagine Mike. You can see it in the video in slow motion when he does a full bodyweight hook.
the way he rotates and uses his whole body, but also does it with such speed.. never seen anyone else punch this perfectly can you imagine an ungloved hit like this to your side..
Mike is the only person I have seen that has his whole body behind every punch. Jab, hook, uppercut, cross, even so called body touches had his whole body behind them. I think cus always saw an innocent kid in mike that was put in a tough world.
@@alistairhenshall9204nah fr i just started boxing and I’ve been told to not throw so hard on every punch and set up your power shots but it seems like all mike throws is power shots 😭
“I’m not a creator, I discover & uncover”…Giving props to the developed skill and work ethic of Tyson…Every trainer or mentor should move with this mindset anything else is selfish in a way.
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaa baby thats what am talking about❤❤❤❤❤❤ Thank u so much❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ by the way can you do mike Tyson 1968 1967 rear spparing videos like long ones keep up the work i support u thanks
One of the only boxers where he could terrify you without hitting an opponent. (Saw alot of this footage as a younger man) scarier than most horror films!
It's great to see him working the heavy bag in his 50s and looking very dangerous he never lost it when he puts his heart in it watch out your getting knocked out
Tyson was a great abdominal fighter. His movement from the hips is where he was able to position himself for the knockout, and power comes from the center too. Ali was also a great abdominal fighter, and it's how he could rope-a-dope
Without gloves on it could literally kill you if you were not countering it. At the very least shatter an eye socket almost beyond repair, like that Piru Blood found out.
The thing with Mike is that he throws punches in bunches.5,6,7 punches at a time. Hard powerful punches as well.for a man of his size ,speed and movement😳wow man, just awesome💪🏼they’ll never be another🥊
When you say "a man of his size", actually his size is small compared to most of the fighters he faced in the ring. At the time he became champion, he only weiged 218LBS, that's small compared to the fighters he fought who were weighing 235LBS, 250LBS and so fourth.
He's a good example of how environment/training can predict beyond raw genetics - or at least, is required to develop any potential. He was only 5'10 and 210lbs , Tyson was one of the shortest and lightest heavyweights
The fact that Cus was so confident that a young man who never even fought for any title will become the greatest fighter that has ever lived is just incredible. I'm very impressed by the psychology of Cus
