Yesssss whimsical horror is literally the best way to describe the pastel Halloween/gothic mix that we both love lol! Obsessed with this video💕 I really wish I loved Bunny as much as so many people did lol I just didn’t vibe with the writing style nor the ending😂 but I can see the appeal for people who did enjoy it I absolutely encourage you to watch the absolutely iconic and dark Watership Down movie (the original!). I still get chills from it as an adult and it terrified me so much growing up lol

And I totally understand why people don’t like this book! It’s super trippy, and didn’t really feel like it was going anywhere in the middle. With a narrative arc like that + it’s writing style, it really weeds out those who are down for the ride really quickly. Ahhh!!! Yes!!! I remember you giving me that recommendation or possibly somebody else on my Instagram account and I’m struggling to find the original version of it because the new Netflix one looks so silly

I love the bunny cookie with the angry face 🤣 OMG the last line in Bunny sent me down "a rabbit hole" on redddit. The first time I read bunny it was all I could think about for 4 days The peep in the coffee (?) 10/10 idea I bet it was hella good. 🐰

Yay! Thank you! I always struggle to reconcile those two parts of myself lol but spooky people can love pastel too!! 🤣 I also forgot to mention there was another story in the cursed bunny collection that I really liked which involved a fox, and it was very fairytale-esque but super dark with a contact matter. And oh my gosh, you’re so correct, Donnie Darko would be a fantastic film to fit this theme, which I should really revisit sometime very soon! Maybe I will understand it more as an adult lol

OMG, your Easterween cookies were the cutest! I'm so curious about Bunny but it's so hyped I'm nervous I won't like it, precisely because I hate dream sequences hahaha I can't think of any more bunny horror but in Daphne by Josh Malerman there's a part where a killer is dressed like an Easter bunny in a candyshop!

I’ve noticed that people either love or hate Bunny 🤣 It might not be your kind of book but I enjoyed the weirdness (you might too!) and it felt very coming of age, which was satisfying to see for the main character. And oh I would love to learn what the context is behind that killer dressed in a bunny costume 🤣 I still have yet to read that one!
