We just got back from another trip to Maui, so we've now been 4 times. We've gone twice with all our girls and twice with just my husband and I. Both types of trips are great, but have ideas to pull from each as well. I honestly get so excited when I find out others are planning their trips to hawaii, so YAY for you! Aloha!

Staying in Kihei at Maui Sunset, 5 full days….doing all the tourist stuff, RTH, Haleakala Sunset, Banyan tree, Blowhole and a Luau booked at The Westin. I would love to return someday with just hubby.

I found your channel last February when you all went to Maui and that is when I was doing my research for my Maui trip in May/June 2021. I have been watching you ever since and I love your channel. It is just so wholesome and real!! :) It is really taking me back now that you all are in HI again. Thank you for sharing with us! I am also a big fan of using credit card points for travel. We didnt pay any airfare for our Maui trip and that saved us A LOT of money.

Hi there again! I was looking at “how to do Hawaii cheaply” and your video came up. We went to Hawaii on a cruise but only spent 1 day on each island…..just enough to get the flavor of each place…..but I want to go back and spend more time and the cost of accommodations are “yikes” ….so we have always used our AK credit card for I free flight a year but this is great to make it affordable! Going to be checking all those cards we use and see about travel points! THANK YOU!

That is awesome! Yes, utilizing points and miles. Credit cards is a great way to be able to travel for cheap. Just make sure you’re not going to debt trying to get points! Ha ha we are actually in line to have all of our plane tickets with Miles on Hawaiian airlines credit card has enough points to pay for a Resort with our AMEX points. I’m very excited to have a cost for a trip to Hawaii by next year. Good luck you can do Hawaii for a lot cheaper than people think. There are cheaper accommodations on every single island. I hope point to being there is to go out and explore anyway. Let me know if you have questions about specific islands as well.

Glad it was helpful! I’m here to answer any and all questions you might have too! We’ve been to all the islands, and are starting over again with Oahu next year, hopefully! I think a lot of people think a trip to Hawaii is unattainable, but it’s not. You can make so many budgets work to be able to go. My brother went with his family of four for about $2500 plus food and souvenirs once there. If you make your budget work for you, you’re going to have an amazing time!! Aloha!! 🌺🌴

Your videos first came up on my suggested to watch videos and it was a Maui video so of course I clicked to watch it! The Hawaii videos are great but so are your day to day ones too. You keep it real!! There is everything else in between with packing prep, fridge cleanouts, holiday decorating, Costco runs, etc -- it's all good! :)

They Gymboree clothes were my favorite when they were little! I actually worked there for a few years to get the discount...and a small paycheck at night. Love that you found my channel via hawaii videos! That's actually the #1 way I want people to find it! Just wish we could go more often to make more memories! How did you like Maui? Have you been to the other islands? I agree with when to take kids to hawaii. I'm so glad I never took babies, but even the toddler was hard the first time around. I'm glad we exposed them to hawaii though, as it's so fun to see the delight of the ocean/beach/scenery from their eyes. It's so genuine.

Love it! We do the same thing with our cards too. It is nice to get that big check at the end of the year. Why not pay yourself back on the things you buy already, lol. YES! I really don't know too many people who uses their cards' rewards like we do, except big wigs who have Corporate Credit cards via work travel points. But those people can afford to travel without points! Ha! How fun that you're headed to NYC for spring break! And it's such a nice feeling having "free" money to spend while you're there! These are great tips! I also credit card churn! I got out hotel in hawaii free for a week by doing so! Tickets were 298 roundtrip due to following price drop sites! This will be our first time. I found your channel from looking for budget things to do in Hawaii search!

YES on the credit card rewards! Take all the bonuses we can get as long as it gets us back to Hawaii! I get that the logistics of traveling can make it hard to stay at the places we want to. Researching for our trip to Maui in Oct 2023 and came across your videos. Would love any money saving hacks for kids while your there, like the constant food snacks & drinks they always want lol gets expensive in Maui!

How fun that you're planning a trip to Maui! Love your question about how to save money on kids and all their snacks! Buy lots of snacks from costco/target/safeway, and have them on you at all times. We always have a bag of snacks in our car when we're out and about, and we always take our own food to the beach. Bring a soft cooler bag to put food it along with ice packs for fresh food items. We tell our kids they need to eat fresh fruit and veggies on the beach before chips and soda. Then we allow them to stop for shave ice or other snacks. We also get frozen fruit, juice and yogurt (from costco) to make our own smoothies in our condo/room. For our next trip, I'm bringing some plastic cups with lids and straws so that we can take a smoothie down to the beach/pool. This saves you so much money! We have them for breakfast and in the evening for a sunset snack on the beach. The condos tend to have glass glasses, and I always worry about the kids breaking them. I found a cute set on Amazon that I'll be showing in a "what I got for hawaii" haul video in a few weeks. We're headed back to Maui soon, so I'll be sharing a lot more tips both before we go, along with while we're there. Also, feel free to ask any more questions you might have. I LOVE helping others that are interested in all things Hawaii! It's my favorite place and thing to talk about!

I wonder just how many people were looking for videos of hawaii during the lockdown days! Ha! And yes, Eric West lived in my frequently watched videos that year too! I loved getting my Maui fix whenever I could get it! I often went to bed watching the sunset listening to my own Hawaiian tunes. We too feel like we are friends with you as well! It really helps to connect with you this way. I does make it all seem very real, so I'm glad it comes across as genuine as we want it to be. I'll add the link to my travel bag in this video. I LOVE that bag! Your sister will really like using it for your trip in May. Secretly jealous you get to go to maui! Ha! I'm really hoping we get there next year again. It's just my favorite island! @@daynacreates1105 Maui is my favorite island too, with Kauai as a close second! Kauai has really gone up in price since the shutdown, I'm priced out! On Maui, we are staying for the first time in the Pink hotel! I'm sure you know what I'm talking about! ;) You stayed at the Ka'anapali Shores last time, right? Its next door I think! I almost booked the BI this year, the condo's are cheaper there, but I was afraid I would be disappointed! Can't wait to hear and see your thoughts, and honest opinion's! Thank you for the link, she just just ordered it, I might have to get it too! I have a old rolling backpack that has so many trips too Hawaii, Cruises, and Disneyland, I hate to retire it, but it might be time, lol! 35 days for us, I too go to sleep to my Alexa playlist of Hawaiian Slack Key guitar music... @@lorihenson9214 Same!! Kauai is amazing! If we get back there, I want to do a Napili Boat tour and a helicopter tour. We did the boat tour once, but the swells were too big to go north. So we toured the south shores, which was still amazing! We saw dolphins too! But I got horribly sick right before dinner. I want a redo for sure! And yes, prices have gone up on all the islands! The Honua Kai on maui is now so much more than we paid last year! Let's hope it tames down a bit for next year. I too have always been skeptical of the BI, but my friend promises me that I'll love it! So, we shall see for you too! Awe, the PINK HOTEL! Yes, we know it well. Got suckered into a Diamond Resorts timeshare meeting there...and still get calls. If we'd had extra money at the time, we might have signed up. Pink Hotel looks like a nice place to stay! It's in a great location too. Anytime you can walk out to the beach and to DUKES, you're in great shape! I'm glad your sister was able to get that bag! You should get one for sure! I think you deserve it! They have so many colors too, so look around! I was stuck getting the gray one at the time, but just found a cute yellow one today! You're so close to going to hawaii, so I'm glad we can give you some Hawaii fix before you go. :)

It’s more of a personal choice based on the credit you can get and what you want to use the card for. I’d just do some research on which one earns points well.
