Love your tutorials I bought a canon 600d with loads of books, I have learned and understood more watching these clips than I have reading the books for 7-8 weeks. Love how you explain in simple terms nothing technical. Brilliant keep them coming

Couple other tips: 1) Keep camera snug against your face when pressing the shutter. 2) Press the shutter at either end of your breath. BTW: Good video. A little wide but you said everything you did.

I love your videos and I've learned more from you and just taking a ton of pictures than anywhere else. I'm a beginner and i bought the Nikon D3100 about one year ago. I bought a Nikon 35mm camera and for close ups it's fine. But i take pictures of vehicles quite a lot and I'm noticing that lens doesn't seem to be as good as the 18 to 55mm for quality. Any reasons for this? I have a car show coming up this weekend and I think I'm going to switch back to the 18 to 55mm. Any ideas?

If your in a car then on a bumpy road then *extending* would *reduce* the camera shake right? Or is there another method of reducing camera shake in this situation?

Hi I was just wondering if photography is your primary career and if it is, I know this might be weird and you don't have to answer, but how much do you make per year? I was just wondering because photography is a hobby of mine and I'm trying to figure out if I could turn my hobby into a career. Thank you

thanks for your reply, but when I change the shutter it doesn't affect the video, I can't do light painting on a video mode, with my d3100.

Shooting a camera is just like shooting a rifle. You want good structural support, so a tripod is ideal of course, as is using a remote control and putting the camera on a delay to reduce internal shake from things like the mirror etc. But hand held you want the best stable posture you can achieve and you do nut pull the trigger, or in the case of a camera you do not push the button... you gently squeeze it. When the camera/rifle goes off it should come as a surprise to you.
