In this video I give portrait composition tips which would help you create unique and different composition. It's not quite like the Rules of Thirds, instead you're placing your subject in far deep corners to make your picture stand out more.
Equipment used to take the pictures
DSLR Nikon D6100 - Nikon D7100 - Nikon D3s
Lenses Nikon 50mm 1.8G - Nikon 85mm 1.8G - Tamron 24-70 f2.8 - Nikon 70-200 f2.8
Flashes - Nikon SB700 - Nikon SB910

Good one dude!! so guys I needed your help or even you PhotographersOnUTube I got a Nikon D3200 a new one, I tried getting some portraits low aperture distance between the background and the subject anyway, I don't get that Depth of view like my Cannon friend got although he got a 18-55 mm lens as well as me, does the 9-focus points that the Nikon got are low compared to the 59 focus points? and does that mean that the D3200 can't a closeup/ landscape shots only? Thanks for your help and reading till here as well :D and Merry Christmas ;)

Great shots! Do you use strobes/speed-lights for most of your weddings/portraits?

Thank you, Kirk! Speed lights are much faster and portable and that's what I end up using a lot. I've used strobes for super high ceilings but they're not very portable and securing them is not as easy.

Nice and something different and I really appreciate. do you re-compose your shots in this kind of portraits or do suggest?

Thank you! I recompose only when I'm not shooting at really big aperture but my DSLRs have 51 points so it's never an issue but if I need to get shot really quick then I'll recompose. Don't recompose if you're shooting at f/1.4, f/1.8 etc. I think anything at f/3.2 and up you're pretty safe. It also depends on your focus plane. If you miss that then you miss the focus too.

When you push them to the corner, are you just using manual focus? If not, what do you focus on? I like the concept, just not sure of how you would execute that.

Taking your corner shots and if it was the only shot you took, couldn't you just crop the picture later to give them the "standard" shot?

No, because the composition is totally different. In corner shots more than half the body is cropped or not in the frame so it looks very different than your standard shot which makes it stand out more.
