Me and my teammate compete in events from 60m up to 1500m steeplechase and we get pretty good results.

Is there such thing as an injury prone workhorse?? I have a teammate who runs 300m H and 100m and does Long Jump. Has the speed to be a decent 60m guy, but also runs a good 4x4 leg. However, he gets injured fairly often in LJ and TJ (not to the point he can’t run, but bad enough that it causes him to start limping). Is it bad that he continues to long jump/triple jump? Should he avoid long jump despite it possibly being his 2nd best event behind 300 H?
