You’re a fuckin hero. I Removed my exhaust on my 06 base model from the jpipe to the back while doing the oil pan yesterday (some jiffy lube legend ruined the old oil pan with an impact gun). I’m now at the point of putting together a cart of hondata and exhaust parts. I think im gonna remove the stock resonator and mufflers, remove the 3rd cat and put a magnaflo resonator where the 3rd cat was and then straight pipe the rest to the tips.

I love my 06 TL, bought it lowered with Tien's but living in Jacksonville, FL I have to get airbags or stock. The rims i got wouldn't look right at stock height. But ive heard good things on ride quality with air suspension

So you were able to tune on the 08 ecu with flashpro? Hondata states that the flashpro is only compatible with the 07-08 type s MY or the 07 base auto ecu when swapping the 04-06 ecu.

So I had a 2001 Accord with a JDM J32A with a six speed manual swap and a GTS3582 turbo running on an AEM Series II 30-6051 standalone and I totaled it thanks to a student driver who pulled out directly in front of me. Anyway, now I have a 2004 Acura TL base model 3.2L with a 5 speed auto and I'm seriously thinking about manual swapping it because I have an 04-08 Accord six speed manual with an 03 CL Type-S LSD diff and I also have a legit 03 CL Type-S close ratio six speed and I'd like to swap the CL trans into my TL. I have a 2003 CL Type-S manual ECU and I'm wondering if I can make it work with the 04 harness. I'm sure I'll have to get it programmed for the immobilizer, but if it'll plug in and work I'll be golden. Just finding an 04-06 manual ECU is $300, then it'd have to be reprogrammed too. Any ideas? Also, which intake manifold do you have? That's not stock is it?

Does the 06 with nav and tpms need the adapater or no? I know on my 7th Gen accord I needed the adapter and canbus.

I have tpms but no Navi so not really sure on that. If you buy the adapter harness you don’t have to do the cam bus behind the dash wiring so that’s a plus if you did need it. I’m still learning as I go as well.

I have the 2006 maunal and running a 2007-2008 auto ecu (mentioned in this video) as for the 2005 the same methods should be used i believe. Hondata website has more info on this.

cannot tune an automatic chassis vehicle. you can use the auto ECU in a manual chassis vehicle and reflash it to work but theres no tuning for the automatic TLs

I made my lighter by removing the black engine cover the intake duct about 5 lbs. I was thinkin of throwin on a cone like the pilot But i lost another 30 x2 from taking out the back 2 seats. Ithink there 30 lbs each? Lol

wondering myself what will all be needed for my swap to be tuned on flash pro. its 04 tl base full swap with oem ecu, immobilizer, ignition, key. its a complete plug n play setup into my 94 dc2 gsr shell. wondering since its already 04 manual tl ecu. will i still need to do any additional wiring to get it to tune on the flash pro setup? or will i just need the flash pro? TIA

This sounds like it's going to be a really sick swap. I have a 2004 base model TL with nav and I'm trying to manual swap it. I also have a 97 Civic coupe with a fully built LSVTEC turbo that makes 709 wheel horsepower and I've toyed with the idea of swapping the rebuilt J32A2 that I have in my garage into it, but at this point I think that I'm better off with the LSVTEC. I also have a CSS B16A in my garage too and a spare JDM B18C head. I have alot of good Honda parts.

Yes you need engine harness and can bust going to ecu for conversion and cluster harness from 08 base or type s I’m slowly losing interest on the build but giving it all I got lol

Does the ECU on a 08 Acura TL controls the TPMS? I have an error in yellow reading "CHECK TPMS SYSTEM", and then in white, "SYSTEM FUNCTION ERROR". I had my sensors checked and they are being read as working... but none of the tire pressures are being displayed. Do anyone have any idea what this could be?

From what I read it won’t but only because the 07-08 automatics use different transmissions and have different sensors. I’m sure if you swapped the entire transmission and harness from a 07/08 You could make it work but from what I have read it won’t.

The apexi neo sucked and wasn’t up to the task. Can’t adjust dead times for fuel injectors, can’t retard timing, can’t adjust anything except turning the fuel up a little bit even then it didn’t work enough to keep the pilot in a target AFR. I was either too rich or too lean no matter what we did. The apexi neo works when there is no other options but I won’t be using one ever again.

The Flashpro is closer to a stand alone than the Neo. We are talking way more parameters to control. Check out Hondatas website for more info.

won't work for automatics because you are missing a solenoid that the 07/08 have. if you were to swap a 07/08 ecu and transmission in and wiring harness you could probably make it work.

I got an 07/08 ecu for base model 5at and I was told from hondata that it should work but just may have to repin the obd2 like it was showing hear in the video. Only thing you wouldn’t have to deal with repin the auto to manual if it’s an auto already I’m giving it a shot I got everything I need if everything works I’ll post about it

Someone please help, I have a 2006 auto with navigation, I swap in an 2008 types auto engine with wire harness , transmission, ECU, Keys and immobilizer, everything plugs up and is working fine SS mode works and shows gears on the cluster, also I changed to an 2008 cluster.. Problem: my ECU can’t be read by an scanner, the scanner powers up but it say no link/ no communication, If I add the CAN bus wire do you think it will work Also you said you went to the junk yard and pick up and wire can your let me know which wire was it.

Those can connectors are in the TSX, TL, and accord. Pop open the glove box, they are in the top, TOP, left corner up by the air bag covered in tape. The accords are easy especially if the air bag is out.
