Thank you, you helped me a lot. It worked on Windows 10 but at first driver installation failed. To fix it I manually installed driver package by manually referencing the Packages\Drivers folder and then it worked perfectlly.

Followed all the steps and I got the green check sign but drivers were not installed and it remained in Microsoft Display Adapter. It is for a Vaio VPCF25FX with Mobility HD5000 series. Are u supposed to download the latest driver or an older one? Thanks.

Thanks ! Catalyst Centre now successfully installed for my ATI HD4870 card on Windows 10 and working OK so far. For info, I didn't need to uninstall Microsoft Visual C++ 2013. The official ATI driver that I installed was dated April 2013 (as opposed to the Windows 10 default drivers dated Jan 2015) but should hopefully have more functionality.

hello, may i ask for help? i have this hd 4860 512mb variant which at first installation has a display and i'd downloaded the driver through the device manager as i am using a windows 10 and hd 4000 series has no windows 10 drivers on website. but few minutes later after successfully installing the driver, my screen went black and i can't fix it yet as i am not yet sure what to do next? like do i have to downgrade to windows 7 to make the display(gpu) back online?

I was in an infinite looping, It worked now, you are great! For me I had to unistall indevice manager, unistall all the folders from catalyst, restart and then use you method for fixing. thank you!

I installed AMD Catalyst and it goes open, everything seems to be working, but the games still work and only run on the integrated graphics of the Intel processor. Device manager reports both of these graphics cards (dedicated and integrated) as working.

There is a way to manually install the Win 8.1 driver if you really wanted CCC for some reason: 1: run the installer but close it after it unpacks all the installation files to C:\AMD. 2: in Device Manager, under Display adapters, right click on the adapter and click Update Driver Software. 3: Browse my computer for driver software. Click 'Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer' in the next menu and Have Disk... 4: Click Browse on the pop-up menu and go to: C:\AMD\AMD_Catalyst_13.4_Legacy_Beta_Vista_Win7_Win8\Packages\Drivers\Display\W86A_INF. 5: Select the first .inf file - C7156445.inf - and click open, then select the model HD4870 from the list and click Next. 6: The driver should install with several screen flickers. 7. Now re-run the legacy driver installer with administrative privileges and have it install the Catalyst Control Center. 8. Restart the computer.

I have a question, after I install windows 10 I get access catalyst control center normally despite that my ATI 5650 card being legacy, however I can't switch between graphics cards like I used to do on windows 7 (intel card and ATI Radeon 5650) and the intel card is the one the laptop is running on. so is there any way that allows me to gain control again and switch to my ati card? thank you

It went as you said, except the end had a question mark, not a checkmark, said some issues occurred during the reinstall. The games I play off of steam won't load into the game. Would you know why? The only thing that I didn't have was as much Microsoft visual C as you did, didn't have 2013 already.

For Radeon HD 2xxx to 4xxx is a driver in Windows update. This driver is very usable (hardware video acceleration, 3D acceleration are functionable), but feature limited (limited graphics power, no setup dialogs -no CCC), of course.

Nice still works in 2022. I had errors first time so i went and redid it, and the second time I uninstalled the MS visual studios 2013. Then it worked for me with out the errors.

I am having lot of problems with AMD.. 1st the graphics card on the AMD monitor is not functioning, What I mean is that there is no movement on its chart. This all made me start the reinstallation of the driver's, which 2nd came the problems of the driver not being recognized or say unknown hardware, although the same drivers were working before. I did try the above steps, but I ended up with a warning logs after completion of the installation of the catalyst. I use a Dell Inspiron 5520 i5-3210 Ram of 4GB and AMD HD 7600M which also does not appear on the AMD website ???! Crazy huh. ANY HELP APPRECIATED.

I'm trying to install an old ATI Radeon 5870 2gb card I'm my server running windows 10, however windows 10 will not allow the drivers to work for that card every though I grabbed the ones AMD has for windows 10. In device manager it says the driver is corrupt or the device is not supported. I would like to put this card to use doing transcoding and folding@home for the covid 19 project. If anyone has any advice for getting it working I would be very grateful. Thank you.

this didn't work for mine - 1 found the driver you installed, downloaded it 2. after installation no Catalyst CP is found, and no evidence that much got installed. Hoping to resurrect my 2006 era ATI 1950XT
