This is how to convert a 12v cigarette lighter port to a dual USB port in a motorhome*
This DIY install of USB ports was in our Fiat Ducato motorhome in the UK. All the parts can be bought cheap online from Amazon or similar.
We have always struggled to keep a good connection with a 12v USB adaptor inside the cigarette holder so chose to replace it completely for this light-up dual USB socket.
