Great video this helped me decide that im gunna take it to a shop for this job so it can be done on a lift and not try to do it myself so definitely very helpful 👍
I appreciate the video good job on that part but if you used a little bit of heat on subframe would have made your life easier and put your new bush in the freezer if you do it this way you can actually fit these by hand with out hammers or zawsaw and pure grunt lol good video and will help these that are trying to learn about there car keep it up 👍
i used an air hammer and a 5 lb sledge to get mine out. getting the new bushing in wasn't much better. same sledge with a block of wood beating it in even straight out of the freezer
Kind of off content question, with the diff out, are you able to access any of the hoses going to the fuel tank? Good job on the bushing replacement. Bookmarked for some of the future work on my car
My mechanic installed my rear z1 poly diff bushing but it pokes out towards the rear of car by about 3-4mm, not flat to the surface of the frame. Is this going to be an issue? Thx
@@mastertech6049 Consider making a gallery gasket video since they're also a common VQ fault. I am likely going to change mine as a preventative measure soon as I am at 150k miles now with no clue if the previous owner changed it. If it is anything like doing the valve cover gaskets on my buddies G35 then I am in for an adventure.... That was a 1 day job turned to an entire weekending when we realized what all we were going to have to remove just to get the fucking valve covers off.
@@mastertech6049 disregard the fuck out of my last comment! I just seen you already have the gallery gasket video...very nice, I am subbed now so I can watch those later
thnx..still. but i have contacted Z1 Motor, and Whiteline, and they BOTH, did not give a solid YES. i am not sure what to do now.!! AND I do not want to replace it with the same INFINI-THEIF..oem one. INFINI-THEIF want over $$3000 to do this job.
when i did mine. i didn't use my arms. i got in to the right position . to use my legs. more muscle mas . took me 15 minutes . But i,m a little guy . plus did it on my own
Im was inspecting my differential because I noticed greasy oil substance coming from top end and both axel sides of differential. Cleaned it and checked it but feels dry. Has anyone had this happen? Also notice that back bushing is cracked and ready to be changed 😅
