Hey there, I really love the videos keep it up. Also, I was wondering if you have a solution for pain around the side of ribs. The pain sometimes hurts my back but most of the time is on my side surrounding my ribs.
Thank you! I had to get up because my stuffy nose gave me an anxiety attack from not being able to breathe properly as I was falling asleep. This helped me to relax.
Didn't open up anything, no Niagara falls, unfortunately. But my headache is almost gone and eyesight improved!! No need to take pain relief medication now. Thank you so much! I will be doing these exercises again for sure!🙏👍
You got that right. He fixed my back problem and now my nose problem. Dr. Alan Mandell is helping me lose weight with a drink that I drink at night. And Gloria Song is also helping me lose weight by doing stretching. These 3 people on RU-vid are incredible. Better than my doctor.
Holy moly. I can breathe again. I was congested at the top of my nose. I tried these steps and my congested nose went away. Way better than the nose sprays that I was using. First, you fixed my back problem and now my nose. You're a godsend. Thank you.
Wow! It’s 3am and I can’t sleep because my sinuses are so clogged up. I mean so much so that I can’t breathe any air in at all! I’m a “nose breather” and just cannot breathe from my mouth which results in zero sleep 😢 I tried the very first method you demonstrated and within 30 seconds that nostril was 100% cleared, allowing me to breathe fully! At first I wasn’t able to breathe any air in but kept going anyway and the RELIEF!! It’s mind blowing that these simple methods aren’t well known considering how much relief they provide. 100% more affective than nasal sprays! THANK YOU!! I’m finally going to be able to sleep 😭 I’m going to try this technique on my 7 year old and hope it works 🤞
Use SinuSoothe Natural Nasal Spray if you suffer from nasal congestion. It was created by two sinus sufferers because the medical 'experts' couldn't help them. Don't take our word for it - read on-line customer reviews. It has already helped countless people with nasal congestion and is well worth trying. And if it doesn't work we will give you a full refund!
I also like to take a very warm, wet washcloth & hold over my mid face from over eyebrows to under nose & breathe in the warm moist air. I rewarm it after a few breaths in as it gets cold spots. That usually gets things started breaking up. Your techniques are things that I will incorporate to follow that. Thank you so much for your techniques!
Wow this WORKS GREAT!! Been suffering severe allergies, sinus congestion/pressure & headaches. I can’t believe how much pressure this relieved whilst opening my nasal passages! I’m subscribing & binging your videos to help relive my back pain! Thank you so much Dr. Rowe, you’re a lifesaver!!
This works ! Exhale fully, pinch nose closed with fing and thumb. Hold that breath out with mouth closed and nose pinched, Now gently nod your head up and down a bit. When you feel first urge to breathe extend you neck to look up and hold until very strong urge to breathe. conclude by inhaling through the nose and stay looking up - you will feel the drainage immediately :)
Hi Dr Rowe, you helped me tremendously in the past with exercises for sore wrist and to make the wrist strong. I haven’t had any problems since. I have also used your tips on popping my hip. Just unclogged my nose……so very happy! Thank you for all of your help, love your videos! 😊
My solution: Fill a 3 qt saucepan about halfway with water, add about 2 tablespoons of salt and a lemon or lime sliced about 1/8" thick. Heat over medium-high heat until it comes to a hard simmer, but not quite a boil. You want steam, not a scalding splatter. While the water is heating, get the following together: a chair, a box of tissues and a damp (not wet) hand towel. Put the chair in front of the stove, turned sideways (this gives you a place to rest one let at a time and the back of the chair can be used for balance, if needed). Lean forward over the pan of water. Drape the damp towel over the back of your head, so that it creates a "tent" over your head to capture that steam and heat around your nose and sinuses. Be careful that the towel doesn't hang down far enough that it comes in contact with the burner on the stove. Breathe in the steam, if you can get air through your nose, it will work best to bring the steam in that way. However, if you can only breathe through your mouth, go ahead and breathe that way, until things start flowing. When it does, step back, grab the tissues and blow out as much as you can and then come back for more. This may sound gross, but I have one friend who has an old saucepan which he never uses for food, but when he does this procedure, just lets the snot flow. If it runs out, it drips into the extremely hot water and the germs get killed. Hear them scream as they fall to their deaths :)
Hi. Your timing is just great! I have severe sinus congestion like I've never had before after a week if Covid. This seems to be easing things greatly. Thank you so much.
for stuffy nose i use: 1. just jala néti - rinsing nose with warm salty water 2. sútra néti - is variation when you stuff your nose with some kind of fibre. originally cotton one where cca 5 cm is soaked in bee wax but today they use usually some kind of rubber one cca 2 mm thick. it activates all nerves in nose and it is very intense 🙂wet out fibre little bit before 3. i use aroma oils - lemon one for freshness + tea tree oil for desinfection + eucalyptus for improving breathing 4. tiger ointment - traditional oriental thing which could be used also for this, just to sniff is enough 5. chicken soup with enough salt and plenty of black pepper
Super help, great timing! I am just recovering from covid, headache and sinus problems are the last to go. Your tips worked. I guess I’ll repeat until i can breath normally, but improve was immediate. Next on my list, repairing and strengthening climber’s knee. I’m 67 so need to be prudent with exercises. (update edit) I slept well all night, breathing easily. I have no blockage at all and the headache from sinus pressure is completely gone. I'm really appreciative of your post and tips, thank you!
You literally saved my sanity. I often get congested, and when I do my teeth hurt. I have been up for 42 hours strait because I have been in so much pain. Looks like I’m gonna get some sleep tonight.
This is a huge help thanks. In schools students can positively actively do as often as they need! as well, as saying a prayer for their teacher. Helping that all will work out for the better. TEACHERS need helpers as well and allow their students to look after themselves, when it comes to congestion in the nasal.
This was super helpful, thank you! I'm with Warren Remmey on the hot cup of tea. I like to stick my head over the steam and breath it in. Qigong nose massage has also been helpful to loosen some of the gunk. Using your middle fingers, place them at the base of your nose where the nostrils connect to the face. (I believe it is LI20) Move your fingers in slow circles, massaging the points. Then slowly move up the nose, massaging gently until you reach the top.
So good. I had the worst congestion this morning and after going through this it’s almost clear! I’ve tried everything, Menthol/Eucalyptus, Sudafed, nasal wash. Nothing works this fast! 🎉
I'm at work right now with a cold and very miserable with congrstion. This video just made my life so much more bearable 😆 thank you! These have really worked!
These exercises worked wonderfully. Today, the day after my ear and throat congestion are 100% better. I can breathe again. Thank you ! I am delighted to see you giving us simple techniques that work. Keep up the good work. If you lived near me I would go to you in a heartbeat!
There's a thing that I do, I'm not sure if I can describe it clearly, but I'll try: With one hand, put your index finger and thumb on the bridge of your nose, keep moving them until you feel something like a "line" on the top of it with the nose tip attached to it, try to hold this "line" with your index finger and thumb(👉👍) pull down the skin gentle, this will move your nose tip down a little, then try to breath by your nose, this always help me
@@dannafreespirit6831 Excellent! I'm glad you understood my confusing explanation and that this trick helped you at least a little, but I hope you get better soon🙏
@@lucasmatos6201 thanks! Btw here's one for you that I discovered that I found helped as well. It's an acupuncture pressure point. Right at the bottom of the nose in between the nostrils. But you know what I think really helped me? I did a session of EES yesterday. You should look into that. Literally miracles. That's energy enhancement system
A sore, tight muscle in the back of the right side of my neck, leaned my head forward to give a pressure massage and as soon as I did my right sinus opened right up! Thank You Jesus! It's past midnight and I have been doing sinus and gland massages/exercises for the past hour...nothing seemed to help my stuffy nose except this! I've had a horrible flu bug for 4 days and I wouldn't have ever thought a tight neck muscle would affect my sinuses! Thank you Dr Rowe!
I sincerely appreciate your time and effort in making this and I genuinely hope it works for someone but I'm still not able to breathe in through my nose after trying literally everything twice, I'm afraid that I will need surgery to clear the nasal passage and let me breathe
I have had a totally blocked nostril on one side for decades- ever since I accidentally got hit on the bridge of my nose by a book ( I know..sounds weird lol) anyway, I tried the first step- took 2 tries and Wow! I can breathe both sides now! Thank you doctor!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS, I have been having a terrible past 3 days with a sore throat, cough, stuffy/runny nose and chills so this definitely helped a big part since I have used about 30 tissues in less than an hour
You are a gem. I've seen some of these demonstrations before but you put more information and details into it. I used some of these on my toddler. And will also include the ones from this video. Thx so much 💜
I've had some success relieving sinus pressure using a neti pot. I followed along with your video and rather than having the mucus drain out my nose I felt it draining down the back of my throat. Is this normal? Great video, BTW. I've been plagued with sinus congestion for years. Not feeling the pressure after doing these exercises.
I already apply some of these methods under a hot shower - the "steam bath air" from the shower makes it even more effective. I do it every single day!
That really helped..breathing in and out of one nostril at a time helps and pressing the point at the end of the nose to the outside also seems to help..thanks doc 😀 👍
Great video doctor! Mountain Cedar is getting the best of me. These techniques are really helping. My tip to share is peppermint essential oil is my best friend during the allergy season. Inhale the oil in one nostril while holding the other. Repeat on other side. Breathe in gently. Hope this helps someone.
Wow, this really works, I'm finding it much easier to nose-breathe now. I've been waking in the night with half-blocked nostrils for about 2 weeks, making it impossible to get back to sleep without mouth-breathing. After following your instructions breathing is much much easier. Almost no blockage at all, just a slight, barely perceptible noise. Thanks heaps Dr Rowe.
Wow! Your techniques really work! Thank you! I've used ice packs for many years to cure headaches--usually works within ten minutes placed at back of head just above neck, or on top of head, or both. Was very grateful to the person who told me about using ice packs for headaches! I appreciate your videos.
Funfact: There is a Theory that says when your left nosehole is clogged your body wants to rest. And if your right nosehole is clogged, it wants to do something. Source: IDK.^^ The video is a pleasure like always Dr. Rowe!
Oh my goodness you are a lifesaver!!! I am fighting a nasty upper respiratory infection, only able to breathe out of one side of my nose, and this did the trick!
Internal & external mechanical pressure. Massaging the tissue & cartilage to both smooth it out & reduce its size & loosen up, therefore it opens up, requires a relatively thorough treatment of many angles. Pulling & stretching the nose, especially the internal & external valve, to the point where it hurts a little bit. Pinching the nose to cause the cartilage to break up & loosen sort of like adhesions.
Years ago, a co-worker from Taiwan showed me 2 methods for this. The first was to squeeze and massage starting at the base of the finger, working your way to the finger tip, massaging as you go, with a gentle 10 second squeeze on each finger tip. Start with the pinkie finger and go all the way through the thumb with the same technique. Repeat on the other hand. Can be done 2x or 3x and usually works for me. The second method was to, sitting upright and squarely, reach with both hands equally to the base of the skull, and find the small pockets on each side of the C1/C2 joint and start to massage. Work your way out and down the edge of the skull and if any soreness or tenderness, gently massage that. Use ice pack if that tender. Both of these have worked for me. Appreciate the videos! (in West Michigan)
Thanks so much for this magical pressure point teaching for sinus and congestion relief! I love it and works so well. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I have problems with nasal drainage specifically at night during my sleep. It wakes me up and cannot breath because of congestion and mucus. I appreciate you!
@@DrRowe heck yeah it worked ! I first did one round following you, then did a second one with some massage oil on my face for a better glide , followed by hot towel compress 3x 30 secs. I feel much better. Thxs
I have a bad cold and cannot fall asleep here in Israel... Just came across your video. Seems like your exercices opened up my airways so thank you very much!
Thankyou for showing me this, I've just done the excercises and my headache is much less, this helps my fungal spore allergy tremendously..never seen a tutorial as precise as yours on this subject, regards from the UK..
Came across this video randomly at the perfect time! Currently dealing with a bad sinus infection along with an ear infection and boy this cold from hell has lasted what feels like forever. Meds are giving me very little relief from the sinus headaches and not breathing well throughout the night. That being said, using your tricks and tips I may possibly sleep tonight because I CAN BREATHE and not just through my mouth making my throat sore ahh it’s wild. Thank you so much for putting this information on the web for all to see it feels like something I would never have even thought to ask my physician and they’ve never mentioned anything like this it’s always take the antibiotics and over counter meds it’ll get better soon.
Thank you, doctor. :) I am having stuffed nose since all my life because I have a septum deviation and I don't want to have a surgery for that. Your methods work the best with my problem from all the methods presented on RU-vid. Holding my breath and walking is working well too as the CO2 goes to the nose and frees it from mucus. :) Wow, I can run better now without suffocating myself. I want to do sports but I am suffocating all the time because not enough air entering my brain and lungs. Now I have a chance for cycling and running. :) God bless !
Using either hand make a pincher crasp between the pointer finger and thumb. Place the seam or crack of the pinch that is at the end of the fingers at the top of the boney structure of the nose. Do NOT pinch the nose. Pressing gently yet firmly on the boney structure, slide the pinch seam down the boney structure until it meets the cartilage. Stop here and push gently yet firmly down on the cartilage toward your head. Hold momentarily then continue to slide down the cartilage to the trip of the nose depressing the nose as you slide. Pause near the end of the nose. Release the pressure and repeat. I feel the congestion start to loosen where the bone and cartilage meet, and it continues to loosen as I approach the end of the nose. Typically, 2 to 5 slides will open up the air passage. Sometimes I will add a little wiggle were the bone and cartilage meet when I have extra stubborn congestion. Give it a try. I hope it helps.
