Dump more into strength and dex. And upgrade the claymore or black knight great sword if you are lucky enough to have it. You'll slaughter him quick. Took me 2 tries

well, its two thieves and two dogs, along the shortcut route, still much easier if you can't kill the Capra Demon in one go.

also the hollow knight shield has just as much stability as the knight shield

@Xavier Varisco You could also buy Poop and throw above the gate. Poison Capra Demon and wait like 5 minutes and he should be dead

Yes, that attack is ending my sanity! I get stuck in heal loops because he spams it, and keeps hitting me with it even when I'm on the ledge.

Well to be honest the arena is not even the biggest issue here, it's these goddamn dogs that try to gang up on you every single time you'll enter the arena to fight the boss. They sent me straight into panic mode the first time I entered the arena and I paid for it, but eventually once the dogs are dead, the boss itself isn't that hard to kill, even if you don't use the stairs and melee him instead. Most of his attacks have heavy tells and leave him completely vulnerable when they miss.

It definitely still works. You’re exploiting an enemy’s pathing so it won’t work perfectly every time. I’ve used the same strat for years but you might have to kite him around a bit to properly set it up

I just did it using the ledge strat, he did manage to hit me a time or two while up there but it ended up working

It doesnt work like that, when you go to the stairs dogs are already up on your ass, and if you want to attack them capra just does jumping attack

@@Crazing there is a bit of rng involved, so things will not always go the same once you enter the fog gate. this is just what works for me consistently

Also, you can't block his double slam pancake, which with my luck, happens 90 percent of the time I go through the fog wall. Lmao, he's usually starting the wind up before I finish coming in. What did I even do to him? I've found it's safer to react to Capra's first attack by dodge, block, etc. before beelining upstairs often shield up. Then, start doing laps up the stairs and falling down in the arch corner to kill the dogs, mostly paying attention to the Capra Demon's attacks because like people have said earlier, the Demon is capable of cutting or slamming you from anywhere: you're NOT SAFE up the stairs. The corner is even LESS SAFE if the dogs are alive. They'll trap you from moving in a few seconds. The Demon by himself is easy as long as you don't get cornered or make a huge mistake. I've beat him a handful of first times on playthroughs like this. More goofy things I noticed are you can't hit them immediately as they fall in the air or on the ground. They have i-frames, and they'll stagger YOU if they touch you on the fall, so it's actually safer to attack anywhere except on or soon after they fall because you'll catch them, and you're staggered, leading to possibly your first GANK in the playthrough.

I just did this cheese tonight after struggling so much with this boss. It works.

Yea black knight weapons are insane. You might wanna try the Black Knight Greatsword, it's slow but packs a punch and the moveset is one of the best in the game imo. Watching your enemies fly is such a joy!

@@VortexKiller2 Yea this particular drop is a pain. I'm playing on pc so I use the save backup trick to get it everytime, never dropped first try lol

John Doe The Drake Sword doesn’t mean easy in all cases...try to remember that some enemies will just not give a shit for some reason.

Drake sword isn’t even that good. It’s scaling absolutely sux

Yeah you’re essentially meant to do him right after gargoyles unless you have the master key in which case you can skip him and the depths. Because of that, he ends up falling pretty easily

Yes, but I recommend doing him so you can get the large ember from the depths. It lets you upgrade weapons to +10. Very handy.

@@CaptainChubbyDuck at the start of New Londo Ruins use the elevator and if you have master key you can unlock the door and go straight to valley of the drakes or Blighttown.

Lmfao the backstabbing part never happened to me but they were annoying af. The dogs are way worse, if it weren't for the dogs, the path leading up to the boss fight would be easy.

Just do the shortcut next to the fog its very helpful also i completed the capra demon first time lol if you can plunge attack him it does a ton of damage

@@justasnegreckis9632 Cuz I want to actually experience the whole game the first time I play. I grinded a bit somewhere else and then beat him. I needed the stats to actually have a proper fight with him since I am a Dex class, so he doesn't just die in two swings for me, lol. I took a break to play some other newer games, but I am well into Anor Londo now and haven't struggled with the game since the Capra douche.

Yes, to be honest all the black knight weapons are pretty op. It especially shows agains someone like capra who staggers easily and has a small health pool.

Im planning on specking into it since i was already getting some str for another weapon. Saw a few comment this thx for making my new weapon choice clear
