How to Kitbash a Simple Judiciar and Paint Him Fast

Warhammer 40k Judiciars are sold out and the cost to buy them is out of control. I'll try to make a really simple and cheap Kitbash. Converting this Primaris Intercessor Into a Judiciar. Afterwards I'll be painting him as a Black Templar.

For me the cost came to about 15$ if you take 5$ per primaris body and 10$ for the two arms from the upgrade sprue.

I kitbashed my judiciar using bits from the Black Templar upgrade sprue and the hooded Primaris Chaplain model, by far my favorite mini in my collection that I've painted.

Ooo that's an awesome base body to use, the rib cage on that model is definitely my favorite between the current chaplains.

Thanks! and ye you could easily use them to play Combat Patrol. You have almost everything for it minus Typhus, however you can easily proxy the lord of contagion for him. Both models are on the same base size and even look similar. @@Bigaquig

I made one using an emperors champion and some sand paper for scaled cloaks. Edit: I play salamanders so I needed options.

Just use a Knight Relictor from Sigmar, it looks pretty similar, give him a sword and you're there

@AnotherDayMiniatures I mean its really bad business. I bought a recast cuz you haven't been able to get a hold of a judicar for under 60 for at least 6 months

@@andydogdad4349 I think a lot of people had to take a similar approach. It would be nice to get a new model with some different designs, given that we have 3 or 5 primaris chaplains now.

really congratulations for the work you do...but above all how you do it...can I ask you for some ideas/tutorials on how you do it!!! make more videos like these....it's important to create alternative thumbnails from scratch with what we have at home

Thank you! I just try to make videos I would like to watch myself. Thumbnails I usually create a few, following the same idea of things I like and often get inspiration from others I watch. Discord thumbnail I saw several days ago on a starcraft2 video, found it really interesting.
