Whoa that "people work harder to keep what they have than they do to create anew" point really struck me. If you live in a lack mindset then you'd fear losing, but if you live in an abundance mindset then there will always be new experiences to create. That's amazing!

I was struggling to let go of my ex wife. When I talked to her, she painted a different story and reminded me that it wasn’t as good as I was imagining. After that realization I found it easier to let go.

This man is spot on. I’ve been in a relationship with someone who fulfilled my fantasies but that’s all it was. Over 5 years. Extreme highs and extreme lows. I changed myself to make her happy out of “love” or was it? Love is healthy betrayal is fatal. If you ever thought that he or she is the one you are wrong. You are the one. You have to love yourself before you can love someone else. Not in a narcissist kind of way but how proud of yourself you are. Remember misery loves company. It’s toxic. Don’t fall for it no matter how much you care they care more about themselves. I promise.

Holding on is easier but moving on is key. This was so helpful. Thank you.

It does help to name the things that weren't good in our relationship and that I disliked about my ex. I was looking back through rose-tinted glasses, but breaking up was definitely for the best.

I feel like these days all we can do is to day dream to keep going, to stay positive. Because there's really not a whole lot we can do right now😂😂😂

I've been reading / watching a lot of these videos in the past few weeks as I've not long come out of a relationship that I'm still holding on to. However, as good as the advice that I've heard (and this is no exception) I still believe that many of us need to go through a period of initial 'suffering' and let it subside a little before putting any advice into action. Emotionally, and more importantly, mentally, I'm not able, or prepared, to deal with the situation without first taking stock - and this is despite knowing that the advice being given is true and will work. I personally just need time to deal with the initial grief before taking the next step. Just a set of rambles from me.

When you're reminiscing and creating that fantasy of getting back together(which I've been doing everyday since my recent breakup, to the point where I am sick to my stomach), you ONLY think of how good the highs were and never the negatives and the lows. Me and my wife separated in 2020, I went through atleast 3 months where I was sad and very depressed every day, I seemed to get over her for a while and then we started talking again and even hooking up, we always had a very strong sexual connection and spent so much time being intimate and I became desensitized to anything other than her, she swoops in every now and then and screws my head up completely. It's been two years and now I find myself depressed and missing her again, I wish I could let go of that feeling of longing for her. Also I get insanely jealous if I think she is with someone else and it's eating me alive. I still love her obviously but I'm torturing myself and I'm feeling very depressed lately, I could cry at any moment and it get unbearable. 😢 today has been especially bad. Because she started ghosting me again. I feel so pathetic loving someone and being faithful to woman that don't care anymore. Im very shy around new people and talking to other girls in person is so awkward and weird, I feel like I'm only doing it to try to move on and every date I've planned I wind up not going or being to guarded, I just cannot get comfortable with someone else yet. I wonder how long it will take to eventually move on, and stop checking my phone every 5 min to see if she calls or messages. The most painful thing I've experienced in my life is watching the person I've made my happiness memories with also become a memory. We are still married but separated, I thought I'd try to hold on and not give up because I thought these feelings were worth it, but now I realize how much I'm hurting myself by wasting my life waiting for something that just isn't happening. I really let her get to me 12 years together and 2 years of sadness, anger, missing her. I am gonna do my best to occupy my time so I won't think about her as much, because im literally dying of a broken heart.

Hands down, one of the best videos I have found to date to help me let go of someone who was a master of manipulating me to feel the way I STILL feel for her. She was a liar and a cheater, yet for some messed up reason, I miss her and want her back. I keep thinking about her potential instead of what my reality was. Time is my friend at this point. This aligns with a good book I just read by Julian Demarco called "How to let go of someone you love; deal, heal & forgive after loss" that helped me let go of my ex. He was very toxic with me being an empath and he is a narcissist. Even knowing I loved him and didn't want to let him go, I had to do it. This book landed on my lap right when I needed it!

Got me at my chemical romance lol because that was me as well, and frankly still however with a total different mindset. This video is something I really needed to hear✨

It’s hard to change something when you don’t know how , even positive thinking and trying to change through story You really need to take a very very good look at the relationship you was in What went wrong , accept it wasn’t right , move on , you will find some one of you don’t , learn to be happy with yourself , if your not happy to start with how can you make some one happier than they are already Stop being needy , stop being negative , stop putting them on a pedestal , stop thinking they are having a better time than you , stop stop stop , move on if your stuck in the past you have anxiety be in the present and be happy with what you have Stop giving a fuck what they are doing , look forwards

I absolutely had to delete all social media for my sanity! I would always see if he was online and if he wasn't I would imagine why and what he was doing,literally took over my life no kidding and I woiks have constant anxiety. I did this for almost a year straight every single day. He would view my FB story on a regular and it would give me false hope..was he thinking of me? Does that mean he misses me?...NO. He never reached out he doesnt care about me...I didnt care about myself...Now since I deleted everything I havent had the anxiety I havent had stories in my head of what is he doing , yes I still think of him but not like I was when I was in social media. It will take time still but I feel like I let him go finally and I already feel a little better and it will get better and I can't wait to be totally free

Actually, I did the nuclear option of your suggestion: I purged every trace of my ex, every item, every picture. I purged her telephone number. I blocked her on Facebook. When I was done, I felt much lighter and much happier! It was much easier to let go with no constant reminders around.

Moving on is frightening, especially when there is a LONG history. Writing helped me since I never ask for anyones help

Struggling to come up with a pain list. A few minor things that may have been resolved had I just communicated about it (or maybe not) but I still feel I attracted exactly what I wanted and drove her away due to my fears of commitment and rejection. On the bright side she showed me that I have these issues to work through.
