You have no idea what you have given me haha I hate rare steaks I have to always have well done but still very juicy and you have just done that loving the editing of your video you have a new supporter and subscriber here.
My bf tried this out yesterday and we both loved it! I personally can't handle or stomach meat that looks/feels/smells raw at all so I'm really happy I found this video, thank you sm 😊
@@CookInTheWeeds Thx so much ... Let me guess why it was juicy ... putting it in the oven was great, but I believe the secret of juiciness was letting it rest covered in foil ... the closed heat forms that meat liquid .
Ive been married for 10 years amd my wife wont eat a steak with a shred of pink in it so ive been at this a long time lol. Whether cast iron or grill the number 4 main things to making a juicy and tender are 1. Buy a good steak. You get what you pay for with steaks. Dont buy a sirloin and expect ribeye quality. 2. Sit steak out until room temp. 3. Get a good crust and cook till about 155 internal, neber over 160. 4. Let it rest 5 min minimum for a thinner steak, 10 min for a regular thinckness and 15 for a really thick steak. I like everything you did except putting foil over it at the end. I stopped doing this long ago bc the moisture trapped in there makes the crust turn mushy at times. Great video sir.
Thank you! My GF likes well done steaks. I prefer mine differently, but I'm not going to argue with anyone's preferences. Every time we go somewhere it seems like her steak isnt great. I've been trying to teach myself to make a good one for her. Thanks for the video.
this is so true!! For some reason whenever I go back home and cook it, it always tastes better.. the ones I get going out taste.. really bland... and it's not even dry but it tastes uhhh gummy and really icky.. I don't think my boyfriend liked it very much either so I'm gonna learn how to make this too 😀😀😀
You have a fun personality...you did good with that steak...the resting of the meat is important...no matter what temperature you want the meat finished to eat.
Don't get me wrong I'm a medium rare to rare and on occasion raw guy myself, but if you insist on eating it well done this is probably one of if not the best I've seen.
@@chrishansen8836 did you not even read my original comment where I said I eat rare, medium-rare and raw. Obviously not if you felt the need to tell me that.
Amazing steak! Most chefs are incompetent, lazy or even worse unwilling to care to cook a good well done steak. Thx for delivering this great well done steak video to us.
So now the steak is out the oven It is Well Done nice and tender thanks a lot my friend I am a steak Master now! This guy gave great directions thanks for sharing
I'm so happy to see someone do this! Where I'm from, there is no rare or medium rare steak. There's done and raw. Steak that's not properly cooked can be quite dangerous and there is nothing wrong with a well-done steak. It is juicy and flavourful if cooked right.
Refreshing to see this. So many pretentious people just assume a rare or medium rare steak is automatically a good steak and will also season it with only salt and pepper. I'd take your steak any day of the week.
Made this for my boyfriend yesterday for Valentine’s Day, he said it was the best steak he’s had. We both like well done steak, thanks for such a great recipe!!
The problem is when people in the restaurant industry gets mad at you for ordering your steak how you want it and even purposely burning it, Instead of being a little more patient and learning how to cook properly.
I would always burn my steak and it would be dry but after doing your method omg I’ve never went back to my old ways hands down the best way to make a juicy delicious steak thanks boss l!
I recently went to a steakhouse and ordered a ribeye well done. The owner came out and said if I would try it "cooked the right way", and he would comp me if I wanted it cooked more done and make me a new one. It came medium and I took one bite and shook my head. He made me a well done steak and it was fantastic. He said, "I don't get it!" about a half dozen times. I told him I don't get why anyone wants a steak or burger under well done. No taste.
I bought some steak to cook for my mom today on Mother’s Day but she only eats well done. Thank you for this video! I’ve only ever cooked steak 2 times and they came out pretty good but I wanted it to be perfect today. I will be using this video later today 😄 👍🏽
Normally I won’t touch a well done not cuz it’s disgusting but more of im not even sure if the chefs even know how to properly cook a well done cuz many just cook it how a medium rare would be cooked so I mostly stick to medium well or medium cuz I ain’t touching medium rare that has a wierd taste to it for me atleast but Y’know what this well done steak actually is properly cooked the way it’s supposed to be cooked this might actually be worth trying someday
Oh, I heard about something simmilar. People with an autoimmune disorder/disease that can't eat nothing but red meat at all. Seems weird but I could live with it. You still have to take in supplements, right?
I can't eat anything but well done steak. My grandfather caught a parasite from undercooked meat and it freaked me out so bad as a kid I can't eat it any other way.
For us Asians, it's outrageous and unthinkable to see anything pink in our steak at the dinner table... I'm tired of seeing uncooked, raw steaks and people actually justifying that 😂
Hopefully you still answer questions on an older video, but when you say remove from the heat to put in the oven, are you just putting the skillet in the oven? Or does the meat need to come off the hot skillet?
Hello my friend! Put the pan in the oven with the steak in it . And you don't have to flip it while in the oven. Hope this helps have a great day cheers!
Hi, thanks so much for uploading this video! I pan-seared my first ever well done NY strip for my husband today by following your tips and it worked so well! Husband really likes it, and I also made the sauce by using the leftover juice in the butter. Thank you again!
Think the issue is that many are just arrogant and overcook the steak And ive noticed some people cook a well done the exact same way as a medium rare or anything like that and to me well done should be cooked in a different way it actually has its own distinct way of bieng cooked to keep juices As far as i know well done is the hardest steak to master and perfect cuz the timing of it bieng well done and overdone is crucial from what ive been told
Nice vid, my wife abhors steak that's still moving on its own and our kids have been brought up the same. I always bbq steak well done and their almost fall off the bone juicy so let the haters hate and let us connoisseurs of fine meat enjoy.
Well done tutorial. I guess through my childhood, my family's cooking choice was either "Raw, or well done." You have a fun personality too. Can't wait to try this out at some point.
Thx...but I wish you would had mentioned the type of meat and actually let the video show the time and technique. You mainly showed the finished product, at least to those of us who are not so well versed in cooking a steak. Looked good ...
I really appreciate your feedback, thank you! Information like this really helps me understand my audience and how I can improve my videos moving forward.
Thank you so much!. Not all of us like steak rare but getting it thoroughly cooked while not making it tough is tricky. Want to share another trick someone taught me to tenderise cheaper cuts of meat. Cut a kiwi fruit & rub both sides of the steak, leave to marinate for about 20 mins. or longer, its up to you. If you don't have kiwi fruit, the enzymes in other fruits can work also. I usually keep fresh cut kiwi fruit in the freezer for when it's out of season. You don't need to thaw it out to use it. This fruit is so effective in tenderising the meat it almost dissolves it. Its amazing.
Hey my friend! You can use coconut oil, vegan butter, mashed banana , mashed avocado, and avocado oil, and vegetable stock . I would recommend vegan butter out of everything. Cheers my friend!
Thanks for popping by! let me know how it comes out for you all!! I am confident you will all be happy! Anything else I can help you with, food wise , let me know! Cheers my friend!
I’m watching his to cook a steak for my grandad because he hates any pink whatsoever being in his steak but in my honest opinion that steak in the video sounds like you were chewing on half wet cement with saying that the video was exactly what I was looking for thank you for sharing mate 👌
I don't know what it is with people coming on here getting mad at people for eating steak well done, I hope you guys know allot of the people here are only able to eat well done steak.
YOU SINNED AGAINST STEAK!!! YOU WILLL NEVER SEE THE PEARLY GATES OF HEAVEN. JESUS LITERALLY CRIED OVER THIS VIDEO I HOPE YOU ARE HAPPY... P.S. when you gotta pull a steak that hard to chew off a piece its completely ruined!
