Just celebrated 8 months with a wonderful man. We are in a committed relationship and highly value each other. I was a widow and he was divorced and the timing was perfect for both of us. At times we feel like twins from other mothers, because we like the same activities, foods, beliefs, etc., but we also push each other to continue growing. I would say we both have a joy for life and can talk about anything and everything. We laugh and laugh and our sex life is great, because we trust each other. Oh, by the way we are both 67, so never think you are too old to find that someone special. We still both work at various jobs. Your videos helped me get back on the horse, so thank you Matt. Keep on doing what you do Matt and thank you.

Exactly! That's what made me notice mine! We met in a grief group, having lost our respective spouses, and he was just so open and also so supportive of and caring about others. As our group progressed, he revealed a wonderful, appropriate sense of humor and optimistic outlook, which I just found so admirable and enjoyable. I wasn't even planning to ever love again, but couldn't help myself! I'm blessed to have him, that's for sure - he's absolutely a diamond.

Nice voice, play an instrument, self-confident, especially in difficult situations. A sense of calmness. Gentle, kind calmness. Good relationship: you know you can tell him/her just everything. You don't do it (some things you figure out yourself), but still you know if you do it will be ok. No matter what happens you will find solution together.

Or because they fall in "love" with an idea , not with the real person. Once they have the person they just want to morph them into whatever they think they should be. And you are right if a person has good qualities, why would someone try to change them? But it does happen. It just means they are just not right for each other . Doesn't mean they are "garbage that need to be discarded" like you mentioned.
