I like that you explain the ‘why’s’ of your paint selections. For example, stating you used Rhinox Hide because it is a purple brown and purple compliments green’ which is an overall theme to the base. I appreciate that.

Great video, as always! Perhaps an idea for a next one: many of these guides work great for separate bases, but are complicated to set up on pre-attached bases (the stuff you get with board games). If you have any ideas of stuff that could be done simply without too much risk getting all over the mini?

I'm starting a Death Guard army (just finished my AdMech) and this is something i'm definitely going to try out! I've never really done basing for my minis before (i slapped on vallejo ground texture paste and tossed in a rock here and there, ew, i know) but the plague marines i think will be worth it. Thank you for this tip, i'll be sure to use as much of it as is applicable!

UV curing resin seems to be also pretty popular with garage kits. From fixing pinholes and small imperfections to coating the eyeballs for a wet look.

Funnily enough I was gonna try something very similar, kept the silicon gel to try make them as bubbles but with water effects (since don't have uv light/resin) good to know that this works

Very nice, the only thing I would have done different is to add some blood to the base seeing as the Nurgle mini had open wounds.

I'd love to see a video of adding the guy to this base and how you combine them to make it not look like different things glued together! Pigments? dry brushing? do you pin it through or just crazy glue?

This trick with silica gel bubbles works also with acrylic clear resin. I like the idea with palette for dry pigments. Why I didn’t do it this way?

I think that the most common reason why people just slap a flat piece of cork on bases is because most models that don't come with their special bases are meant to go on a flat surface. I've actually ran into some problems with this myself because I went bit off the rails with my bases when I got into 3d printing but quite a lot of the models in my library just don't work with the more interesting and naturally uneven ground that I enjoy making. Now it's not hard to just create elevation for the other foot and make it look good but most people don't want to do problem solving when basing.

Could this work for pools of bubbling molten gold or other metals? I could see a little dab of true metallic paint making the bubble-tops work (where it's all highlight), but seems like a challenge to sell over top of the rest of the pool of resin 🤔

I really want to do something that looks like a "normal" base, but in the wake of where the model has been, this stuff starts to come through. This gives me some ideas towards that end.

Hello, great video and i really like this nurglish stiled base! I need help finding alternatives for a couple of colors that are hard to find here where I live. What color can I replace bilious green and ice yellow with? Those are the hardest to find but also the sepia ink is quite hard to get! Thanks a lot :)

I'll turn up my volume for your videos and when the next one comes up . . . well, you can imagine.
