When you start to get your life back or you think you can spar with them, does suck you dry again. You may try to fix them show them not everyone is bad. What if 2 months after the breakup I reached out and he said he’s had second guesses and bad days but feels like he’s definitely made the right decision and his friend and family have told him he’s returned back to his old self. In the relationship he was happy he was changing now he seems to act like he feels better off now.
this is common, happened to me. sometimes people value too much what they friends and family think and end up sabotaging they own happiness. a lot of times those same friends and family are using that person for they own selfish needs like they time/attention/money/codependency and don’t want to see that person happy because they are not. Only you know the truth, but it’s obvious he isn’t ready to truly be happy.
