Holy balls I did this every morning in junior high too!! I was also born with one mono and one double lid. Amazing. I feel like you're my lost sister. I didn't think this was a common issue.

Thank you for helping me regain my youth! In highschool my crease was so low & skin so tight it gave me monolids. But a hard life caused the skin around my eyes to become severely sunk into the socket. My eyes became over shadowed, loose skinned, bulging bug eyes like Steve Buscemi or Don Knots. You've given me the power to look 15yrs younger.

I woke up one day with my left eye being a double lid when I have monolids and it stayed like that for 3 days and my eyes were so uneven. I tried icing my eye, heat on my eye, tea bags, everything but I couldn’t get my eye to go back to how it looked before and I thought I was screwed. Thanks for this video! I am Japanese mixed with hooded lids and I also have a little problem with asymmetry in that area. I tried eye lid tape to make them look more similar, but it's too much work for me because I get all OCD about it so I can easily take like 30+ minutes just to do that. I'm excited to try this!

HOLY CRAP!!! IT FREAKIN' WORKED! OMG THANK YOU SO SO MUCH! I've ben doing this for a week now in the morning, afternoon and night. Can't believe it actually worked! My brother had really beautiful monolids whilst i was stuck with double eyelids. So like at first, after doing this, i managed to make myself 1 more lid lol then i realized i was doing it wrongly. I forgot to nod my head down and look up while doing so, my monolids stayed longer than a second. It actually sucks at first but if you keep doing it, it works like a charm!

+Jose Vasquez: Your question of how long it takes to get a monolid has a two-part answer. Once I got the monolid going in the morning, it would last throughout the day. But when I slept (either at night or took a nap) and then woke up, my left eye would go back to being a double, so I had to start that monolid process again for that waking period. In terms of how long it took before I could wake up and just be a monolid, I want to say it took about a year. But it gets easier and you have to "fix" it less. In the beginning, I had to force my eyelids to be monolids a lot before they stuck for the day. As the days went by, I would spend less time making them monolids every day and eventually my eyelids adjusted. Have you tried just pinching your eyelids, holding them out, opening your eyes, and letting go? Does it stay for a second at least? If so, there is hope for you.. but be super diligent about it!!

+김영지 I wouldn't narrow it down to Asians only -- I think there could be some non-Asians this could work for and Asians this might not work for. I think the facial structure (flatter face) and not having too much fat underneath the eyelids is what determines if this method could work or not. What happens when you pinch your eyelid and open your eyes? Can you get the mono to stay at all?

For me, since the eye with the monolid appearance is more relaxed, and is pushed back a little while my other is normal double lid, i close my eyes and try and do a light exercise forward force like when you have excited or surprised eyes but closed and more for the monolid eye that is slightly pushed back. It has worked a lot of times when I'm ready to take pictures.

I'm glad I found this video.I have a problem with my monolids..When I was a child, I used to have uneven eyelids, my left eye is monolid while the right one is double eyelid..but when I was around 9 years old, my right eye became monolid. So starting that year until this year, I have even monolid eyes. There are times, when my right eye suddenly became double eyelid but after few mins or hours it came back to monolid. My problem now is, it's been 2 weeks since my right eye had became double eyelid and still has not come back to monolid. At first I thought maybe it's because I have not been sleeping well these past days and my eyes are tired. But I've across some website that says it might happen because of the fats or muscles in the eyes...That's why I'm searching for some massage tips in the eye. This was the same with me, one mono and one double. I had this from the beginning of time till I realise like around 16. It turns out that for me it was because I slept on the same time all the time, so when I started to sleep centre, like a corpse my eyelids because even and both double, this took like a month to stay, and when I would not sleep straight it will go back. This worked for me and maybe it may work for someone else.

Im going to post progress of this. (I will be doing a minimum of 5 min of this in front of a mirror watching yt) Day 1: took 10 min for the crease to even work, and since i have HUGEEEEE eyes with a very defined double lid, it looks very weird as only half the eye is forming the crease. I will keep doing it assuming the other half of the eye will form later on)30MIN Day 2: I can hold the crease for 1 second20MIN Day 3: I can blink very quickly with the crease still holding (crease still looks weird) 10 MIN day 4: I can blink multiple times by looking up (10 MIN day 5: My monolids started to look very pretty. The inner eye crease is a double lid while the outer eye is monolid, which makes my eye really pretty. 20 MIN Edit: i made my new eyelids sorta dou le and monolid. This changed my eye as my eyelid used to be superrrr far back and my eyes always looked puffy so thx

I was born with 2 monolids. Unfortunately, around middle school my right eyes crease began to differ compared to my monolid, and it created a double eyelid. A while ago, my right eyelid surprisingly turned back into a monolid after around 3 years of my eyelid swapping between double and triple. It stayed as a monolid for 3 days, and one day I woke up and it became a triple eyelid again. When I blink harshly, it turns into a monolid for around 4-10 seconds, it depends on how much I blink and how much force I put on my right eye to blink. Do you think I can still get a monolid? I fear that after those various years, my eyelid became more stretched out making it more difficult for it to become hooded again.

Hi, thank you so much for your helpful video!! At the moment, I'm considering on whether I should start on this double eyelid regime. I have 2 main worries.. So, firstly, you mentioned that this doesn't work when you sleep. I've read forums and heard that for some people, they are required to sleep even with double eyelid glue on in order to develop permanent double eyelids. I've tried doing this and the problem was the same as you mentioned, the whites of my eyes were showing. So the question is, do we have to put the glue even while sleeping? My second question is, did you find that your eyelids started to sag after beginning with this regime? :) sorry for the trouble!!!

I have a question! So if I managed to create the crease for my mono-lids even though I was born with them, this ones for my left eye. So if I made my crease for the mono, how to get rid of the old crease that use to be for my double eyelids? I would like some tips because now I have two creases on my left eye, and every time I blink, my eyes tend to look variant, like it could be mono, or double.

I would really appreciate a tutorial or tips for creating a crease on lids that are heavy and puffy. Mine are so heavy they lay on top of my eyelashes. And you cant even see any upper eyeliner. I've tried eyelid glue and tape and none of them keep a double lid. There is so much skin basically I end up with 2 double lids... Of course, I dont know what are better products.

Very helpful! I'm caucasian and my right eyelid is smaller than my left one(it looks more hooded) I tried 'fixing' it with glue and it works! I read that using glue could make your eyelid saggy, is that true? Also, I can't find eyelid glue where I live, I only have duo eyelash glue. Is there a significant difference between the two?

how long did it take to go from monolid to double lid? I don't know exactly how to explain it, but even when i glue the eyelid together, when i fully open my eyes the monolid folds in while i have the glue on, do you think i should make it closer to the lash line? something hasn't been working out

I'm part Korean, and when I was younger I used to have monolids. Unfortunately I lost them over time and am so glad that there might be a chance to get them back!

Not sure if this has something to do with anything, but I have longer nails and it makes it hard for me to pinch my eyes in the way that you suggest to go from double lid to monolid..? Is there any way you can use glue or something to make it easier to train your eyes into the new monolid shape or anything to help make the technique go more smoothly? @Hannah Sheeran (heynuuh): I think you should be able to! Can you do it with your fingers? Just keep your eyes open and be religious about doing it everyday and do NOT let your eyes go back to monolid. You can also use false eyelash glue; I remember when I had monolids and would wear falsies and then take them off, the glue would still stick to my upper upper eyelid if my eyelid was folded correctly.

So to get monolids I've seen there's a way to do this using the eye sticker things. Is this a good method? Why or why not? Also, how's a way I can make sure the pinching is even. Because I always just get a red line in the middle of my eye, despite pinching along my lash line. I think my fingers are just too rounded at the tips to pinch it right or something

for me, I am a mix and I naturally have a double eyelid. however, when I don’t sleep well, when I sleep too well, or when I cry myself to sleep one of my eyelids becomes a monolid and it annoys me so much because it takes like a week to go back to normal and I prefer double lids and I just want it to be a double lid forever.

I normaly have double eyelids, but since the beggining of 2016 my right eyelid suddenly became a monolid and it's been changing from mono to double ever since. Sometimes I would have a double for weeks and then it would suddenly change to mono, and the opposite, but it's been at least 3 months now and my eyelid has stayed as a monolid. I've tried eyelid tape and after one use it stayed as a double for a few days before going back to mono. I didn't think that I should try to "force" my eye back to double by using the tape daily, but I will try that from now on. Thanks for the tip! Hopefully it will work ^^
