Thanks so much for all your videos. Really helps me a lot. Now I am working on the I-864. May I ask , I got my green card in March and come to US in July. I have never worked in US and not yet have a tax return. I am applying changing status for my husband in US. What should I fill in for tax return information? Can I claim my annual income is 0 cause I never work in US yet. ( I am using Part 7 use of assets to supplement to claim that I can be the sponsor) Thank you

Hi Kseniya! I was wondering if we could just use the tax transcripts online (Return Transcript + Wage & Income Transcript) as substitution for the actual 1040, W-2, and 1099 form?

Hi Kseniya, Thank you so much for your videos. I want to ask you if you're the joint sponsor and you want to use only your income to support but your taxes are married filing jointly, what should you put for total income 24a- 24c? The total income on your taxes or just yours?

Do you need to submit the most recent 3 years? What if you only submit the most recent year. I saw on the form that you can provide the most recent year and the other two are optional?

I have a tax amendment in process but as of right now at the IRS website i have the first one I've filed. When i finish the application, i can go with latest one from irs website right or do i have to wait until the amendment one is approved?

No, only if you need his income to help the calculation. Otherwise, YOU are the sponsor and should submit your info only.

Question: I was in the military (6 years) and just got out in August of 2023. I am trying to sponsor my father and I am currently unemployed ( 3months- so my income for this year(2023) would be half since departing the military). We live under the same roof ( including my mother). I am not sure if I can sponsor him solely. If he can be the sponsor . Or put three incomes which is my parents and I. Note: my parents are under TPS, they have also come back into the states legally. Having forms I-797 and I-512L Your help would be very much appreciated!!!

Hi kseniya i sent the IRS transcript to NVC and the accepted. But now they're asking for every 1099 from 2022, but my husband doesn't have any 1099. What we can do?
