I watched the video over again how do you get the driver's side to pop open how do you get your fingers back there or how do you get your hands back there it's easy when you have that latch in your hands but how do you get your hands in the back there to unlock the driver side why don't you show that video

On some the latch cables corrode and there's isn't enough tension to open the latch when the cable is pulled. I replaced latches and both cables. And of course the release arms were stuck - took a lot of penetrating fluid to free them. All this because the damn hood opened and broke windshield after servicing the engine - shaise.

Hello Nathan, I appreciate your videos. I’ve learned a lot from watching them. I have a 2001 BMW 530i E39. My cable broke at the handle inside the car and there’s no cable remaining to grab and pull. I took the driver kidney grill out and tried to open the driver side latch using a key which was from another video I seen on RU-vid. I had no results from that. Can you please explain how to open the latch from the bottom of the driver side latch with a screwdriver? I have the passenger side open but the driver side has been a headache.

I’ve tried everything. My cables for the the left side are broken and so is the cable that runs to the inside of my car. I can’t open it at all. I have all the stuff to completely fix it, but I can’t get in it to fix it.....

Left my $%#$%^n breaker bar on the hood latch and sprung the hood. FAAAAAACK!!!

The video is really of no help because the driver side lock how do you open it if it's locked if the hood is locked how do you get your hands back there to unlock that

took me four days to get the left latch open, right latch still wont open... left latch took pliers to broken cable from inside the drivers side of car, machete under the hood, pulled on cable after removing grill,, used a knife to slide left side, used handle release from front of car.. I dont know what worked but finally the left side seems to be up a inch or so, now the right one.. could take four more days
