Today we will be showing you how easy it is to prepare your deck for coating by removing dirt and rejuvenating grey, UV-damaged timber.
Designed to revitalise and clean grey, weathered and soiled timber, Cabot's Deck Clean is the perfect tool to use. This essential preparation product does it all for you! It prepares old exterior timber surfaces for a coat of oil, stain, paint or exterior varnish. Also, it removes naturally occurring tannins from new timber while eliminating mould and other contaminants.

Step 1 - Prep
If working with new bare timber, start the process by using Cabot's New Timber Prep - following the directions on label.
For all other surfaces, start by wetting down the deck with water.
Step 2 - Mix
Mix 1 part Deck Clean with 4 parts water in a bucket.
Step 3 - Apply
Apply generously to the timber and scrub vigorously using your brush.
Leave for 10-20 minutes adding more solution to the surface as required to avoid it from drying out. Then rinse off using the highest pressure from a garden hose. If using a high pressure cleaner, use on the lowest setting to avoid damaging the timber.
It's that simple! Once dried, your deck is now clean, rejuvenated and ready for a top coat of oil or stain.
