Worked like a charm!!! I had taken my truck into a local mod shop and they told me I’d have to buy a brand new remote to program it and that a used remote with the same serial number would not work. Unfortunately when that remote was discontinued they said I’d have to buy a whole new remote start system. Bought a used remote myself and tried this and it worked PERFECTLY! THANKS SO MUCH!!!
Thanks so much. I read the paper instructions that came with the new fob, my trucks alarm wasn't making any chirping sound when I was running through process. Watching the video really helped. the process worked but I had to listen for a small electronic click coming from under the dash.
Great video and very helpful! I might add that on my system, it was an LED&Switch combo (press the led to program)...just in case people are looking everywhere and can't find a push button or toggle.
Nice explanatory video, my daughter's remotes are shot. And I found the same kit on eBay but it was an open box purchase. All I need is the remotes my question if you could answer it. With a new remote start only, do you have to remove a table to activate batteries in remotes first, before you try to link them up to system. It's a prestige APS -57E remote start only. Thank if you could answer that for me, before I start
I have a truck with an audiovox alarm/remote start (not sure what model) with only 1 working fob...question: if I bought a used fob with the same serial number, could I program it to work with my system or does the fob have to be new? Also, do I have to reprogram my first fob with it at the same time, as you’re programming both of your fobs at the same time in the video? Thanks for the help.
The 5bcr03 came default with the units aps996 and aps996a which are alarm remote start combos, but also the 2 way versions without remote start too, so without knowing the model your alarm is I cant tell you if it does or doent have the capability.
On that aps920 I would assume that remote is old and just plain tired, I wouldnt be suprised if your backup one way remote works amazing (if you have one around that is) while that 2 way is very lacking in performance, That remote definetly has a shelf life.
Love the video just a question if u don’t mind I need a little help my alarm doesn’t make the horn noise when I press the lock button how do I get that back working and one more thing my remote start stop working I think I pressed a button messing around with the alarm how do I program it again
I have the Audiovox 5BCR03 remote. Is this capable of remote start? Did you cover the auto start in this video? Sorry if you did, I might have missed it behind the noise lol
I agree with Hegemon, Instructions in this video are are too fast -- this gentleman needs to really slow it down. He does not show you the buttons he is pressing and some of his instructions seem to get confusing after the initial button is programmed. He starts talking about button two on the second remote without returning back to the1st remote. He should explain what is is going to do before doing and even better, provide written instructions.
You have to program all the channels, Not just the lock buttons. Make sure you program ALL the buttons on each remote, The green button (typically) is the remote start button, Which is 2 taps by default to activate the start feature btw...
Hi, I bought a replacement remote after I dropped my original in water. I tried to program it using your method but I get no chirp. I only get a horn honk when I turn the key to the off position and press the valet three times. The alarm was on my truck before I bought it, so I'm not sure if its just set up differently. I have the prestige aps2k4ms, it will unlock and lock my truck but won't start when I push the green button. It used to work, but one day my truck would start at all and I unplugged it. After plugging back in, I got lock/unlock to work but no remote start.

I have the older style switch instead of the valet button...I actually broke it off while trying to find it and need to re-solder the wires. Until I can do that, I am wondering, do you switch it on and off 3 times, or it seems like the switch can act like a button...is that how it works?
I can't find the toggle/ push switch no where. My battery on the remote key fob died I switched it out but key reset itself does not send the signal everytime I turn the key to the on position the alarm go off.
Hold down the "F" function button til the settings blink, toggle to the clock mode, use the option button to change it, after 15 seconds itll go back to normal use mode on the lcd remote
What if you hear the chirp and light flicker for channel one. But once i press the remote button . Nothing happens, and go to press and hold. Still no chirps, no lights. Until the timer runs out.
I need help with my prestige aps920a on 2006 altima.. I'd like to set it to double pulse for lock when armed and double pulse unlock when disarmed and also the Windows down when double push disarm and roll up when double push arm ? Which banks will I be changing the settings in to achieve that ?
Hi ! My Prestige remotes have the unlock, lock, 1 and 2 buttons. They programmed the 1 for the hatch on my Jeep, but left 2 button empty. Is there a way for me to program #2 button to turn on the alarm, like the 'Panic' button does on the original Jeep remote?

Instructions in this video are ar too fast -- this gentleman needs to really slow it down -- especially for those of us who aren't savvy with this remote technology. The camera needs to be much closer to see each keyless remote as well as the LED and the ?-switch. The sound quality is very poor. The camera or microphone needs to be much closer to capture every word as these are step-by-step instructions. I need to program my APS99BT3 and will not be able to with this video. I hope this company remakes this video with improvement so it can be followed (much slower pace), the actual items can be seen up close, the sound quality can be heard without sounding distant and/or fuzzy, and, be useful.
Te Hegemon well, first off no body is paying him to give out his secret. he simply trying to help you save $. if you want PROFESSIONAL SERVICE might as well go to your dealer or car alarm installer. Secondly, English is not my first language but I did understood him, I followed his instructions and it worked on my 2 vehicles with no problem. I glorify this guy.
It's no secret... this is all available in the user manual! ;) And I agree as just a general, making decent videos feedback, I find this video pretty much useless.

Hello, I have a FCC ID: ELVATGB and Part No. 08S remote for a Pursuit alarm and remote start. I recently had the battery die in my car and am trying to reprogram the remote. I can get the car to "chirp" when I hit the valet button 3 times, but when I hit a remote button to program, nothing happens.. the fob doesnt respond. Eventually after 15 secs or so, the car horn makes a long beep, I guess to end the programming. I should mention that I put in a new battery in the fob. Also, I do not have an LED light anywhere. The only light I have is a flashing red light on the factory radio. I have a 2002 Chevy Monte Carlo SS. I just bought it last year and this system was already on it, and the manual didnt come with the car.
Need help. I need a new remote asap. In the meantime, how can I disable my alarm system? My remote didn't respond when I pressed it multiple times yesterday. Bought a new battery and now have a constant red light on. It stopped working a few hours ago. Had to open my car manually, which set off the alarm and it wouldn't turn off after I started it. While I was driving, it kept beeping every few minutes. It's annoying and hazardous as it confuses other drivers (who think I'm beeping my horn).

I have an Audiovox Prestige APS687C installed on my 2012 Infiniti G37. It has the 105BP remote and the RX14PBL window antenna/push button valet switch. For the life of me, I can't get the system into programming mode. I've tried it with the car on, with it off it accessory mode and with it off while the ignition is in the one position. At first I thought there might be a problem with the receiver but I can get it into service mode no problem by holding the valet button and cycling the car on and off three times. Since I'm able to do that, I figure that there isn't a problem with the antenna itself. What am I doing wrong? Why won't this thing go into programming mode? Whenever I try pushing the button on the antenna/receiver, I get absolutely no reaction from the system. No lights blink. No sound from the car alarm or even car for that matter. Super frustrating.

I am having an issue locating my valet switch I bought my jeep grand Cherokee with the system I got the model number off it I was able to find it under the kick panel will the main unit but I have no clue where the valley switches I also see the antenna on the top but I do not see a switch whereabouts would I find the switch what harness would it be coming out of?

. am trying to program codefcc goh-4bl98 same remote of this number i was using before chevrolet van. i open door down press the ignite on for 15second. it did not make any sound nor disarm the alarm in order to press arm key for 15seconds to finalise the programing.is there any other ways to programing it.

Except most of the systems installed today are programmed through the data link with a programmer plugged into the OBD II port....I haven’t mounted a button or switch in years cuz no customer messes with them!
When he says to "turn the key ON" turn the IGNITION ON. Literally sat in my car for an hour with the key in the ON position pressing the button with no response.
After two years I finally got a replacement valet switch (my fob/keychain was stolen and got the replacement remote, and broke off the valet switch in my hand), it wasn't responding, so I unplugged it and reconnected, then all the sirens went off and I can't start the car. I couldn't program the remotes because it wasn't working...I wasn't sure my unit was working at all. I unplugged it and now I can start the car, but how can I get the alarm off so I can finally program the remotes?
i have a 06 gmc envoy with the audiovox prestige pursuit remote start it has the singe fob remote start. i ran the battery dead and jumped it with a jump box that was about dead and every since them my envoy will start 3 times and stall when i use the remote start. does fine with the key i checked codes in the pcm there was none and i cant find the valet switch.

called again today no answer when i try to start it with the remote its starts and stalls 3 times and the led light flashes green 6 times i googled it and it says 6 Flashes High RPM signal over speed shut down. have no idea what that means.

For DEI (Python) 474P remotes Program the lock button on channel 7 by pressing once on switch and hold till beeps 7 times, the other buttons will work then turn off car.
Hi, My girlfriend just bought a car that has been owned by 3 people. We just tried to program her system with this method. She has the keyfob ELVATOA and we can't get the "brain" to recognize the keyfob and now anytime we try to get into the car, the alarm goes off and we can't start it.
