How to remove and swap glass from a Milgard window (part one)

I do this for a living, and have a tip on pulling stops, just use a flat knife and wedge out stops from opposite end, not where you lifted with pliers, and please wear gloves. You did excellent work, in fact I loved your idea on starting the glazing tape that way, that was so good! Never seen that done before, my tip is pull all blue strip then lightly spray with glass cleaner and plant the IG unit, it will move freely for adjustments while I put the stops on and once dried it sticks. Great video!!!

Your instructional video was amazing. I was installing a new window when the wind blew the window from the frame and broke the glass. Your instructions took all the stress out of installing the new glass. I would have no idea how to do it without your video.

This guy does a great job of detailed explanation and demonstration. complete with tape size of 7/16" Wide 1/16" Thick.....double sided Tape..dang....I got my window done in less then an hour but a smaller window....not a fan of Milgard as the small windows spontaneously break because of temperature changes from indore to out door...and in San Diego area of mild weather.

Wow - Thx for sharing - This is pretty amazing process to see 1st hand. Milgard lifetime guarantee - they're sending crew out next mo to replace 5 dual-glazed we purchased in 2002 that all failed. So Happy I kept all the paperwork!

Use a 5 in one small chisel to pop the snap bead. Mitered or butt cut snapbead it dont matter much mitered are a bit more tricky. works way better that lineman pliers... wigling it back and forth. Smh. Ok ur a carpenter i forgive you. 😅 Yah bro take a flathead even bout 35 degree angle at the joint away from glass obviously palm of ur hand whack the screw driver 9 times out if ten works then pry slowly you dont bury the tool either just get a bite on the interlock of the snapbead and pry gently. At most a tiny blemish from the tool. But with newer service windows. Should be easy. Replacing windows? Dont count on deglaing to be easy. Hope this helps

Video should have been shot on an installed window. Who installs new pane on a removed window? Show viewers how to use spacers on the bottom, to center the glass, in the frame. Anyone installing a pane, test fit before your remove the paper from the double-stick tape.
