Thank you so much!! I’ve had my camera for around 3 years and I haven’t used it for AWHILE, but today I got new film as a present from my parents and I thought it was broken cause it wasn’t working. Turns out it was just the batteries, thank you so so much!!
Thank you so much. I just wanna say that your videoes are so wholesome and amazing. Love the work and your personality is even better. Keep doing it and its crazy that you still answer every question, goes to show that you really care and want to help as many people as possible.
Honestly thank you so much for this video. I was worried because I had just gotten the camera and the black film when you install new film was stuck and I had no idea what to do but with help of your video my camera got fixed. Thanks you’re a life saver!!
i litterally freaked out when u said if i continue pressing the snap button its gonna damage. im glad mine didnt when i did that. its back to normal now. thank u very much
Thank you!!!! I wanted to use my camera to commemorate a special event. Before leaving, the roll was empty so I took out the old and I put a new roll of film in my Mini. Took the first shot and it JAMMED!!! I thought it was broken forever 😢 Thankfully I saw this video. I tried step 1, and nothing happened. I even went through six sets of batteries to make sure. So I tried step 2, but I don’t have that bag. I decided my bathroom is just as dark at 2am with all the lights off. So I went in the darkest area and pried that thing open. That first plastic layer, the one where it goes from “S” to “10” to open the film, was jammed inside, it was so difficult to take out the pack. But I did it, and it works fine now! Thank you for your help 💐👏🙌🫶
Hello. When I tried my instax sq6 the protective film came out but the film did not. When I tried your tip, there was no film stuck, but I realized that there was a black tape (on the film pack itself) across the side where the film should come out. I removed it and the intax worked. Question, everytime I load a new film pack should I remove the tape? Every tutorial Ive watched here on youtube, does not include the step of removing the tape. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your video. My camera has been chugging on since 2017 and the film got stuck halfway through for the very first time today, I was at a loss on what to do.
Hi Sir! I was replacing film yesterday and upon placing the new cartridge, it got suck. It didn't want to enter the place I usually put film in. Upon a little bit of force, it got in, and I got to close the back door of my instax. But now no film would go out. :( Is there any way I can fix this? I'm worried I broke my Instax. Everything else is working fine (i.e. flash, power, etc). Thinking it might have gotten jammed.
1:37 THANK YOU SIR THIS HELPS ME SO MUCH! I was panicking and about to cry because i thought my instax is broken. I bought it with my own money, it took me months to save up to finally buy it as a bday gift for myself. ONCE AGAIN THANK YOU FOR THE TIPS!!!💋💋💋
Hi I already replaced the batteries countless times, but the first black film is still stuck half way and i dont know if opening up and trying to get it out will work because i think the rollers are too stiff! ive had this problem a few times before. can you please help me
I replaced the battery’s without the lense open, now one orange light is constantly on and the others flash continuously. It doesn’t take pictures or do anything now.
I'm assuming you're from the Philippines based on your profile; currently we only have one in the country. Their new address is 25F SM Aura Tower, 26th St. Cor Mackinley Parkway, Taguig City, 1630 Philippines; try emailing them at camera.services.ph@fujifilm.com.
@@hailgonzales hey! i just fixed mine a few days ago and glad you commented bec i wanted to help some too. disclaimer: this method might compromise 1 or more film but i think this is better than nothing, right? and do this on a dark room so your films wont get exposed as much! ^__^ what i did was first, remove the batteries then open the back, remove the film cartridge (since it's stucked in the roller, it will be hard to remove the film cartridge but you have to force it but do remember that you cannot push or poke the film or else it will ruin it) just force it out then after removing it, you will find the protective film, just pull it out and return the film cartridge back as fast as possible. and do some 2 test shots, the first film might result into a blank one then the second one could work just fine. 😊
The camera can usually correct itself after a new one is loaded. however if there's something that went wrong with the rollers, the camera may need to be disassembled for repair.
Hi! This is the best video on how to un-jam the camera. However, after removing the jammed film, checking no other is jammed and moving around batteries and changing different ones the lights are still alarmed on my daughter’s camera, do you have any suggestion?
What if your film came out part way then got stuck? I pulled that picture out gently. But now the film won’t come out at all!! I replaced the batteries, and the camera started making the noise like when the film is supposed to come out, but it doesn’t come out… I even ruined one pack of film by taking it out and putting a new one in- it still doesn’t work
Opened the camera according to your advice - inside my wardrobe just to be sure. Turns out, I just didn't have any film left & the number of photos left was wrong because I got stopped by security in an airport & they opened the camera.
I'm having an issue with my Instax mini 9. I got a two pack, the first pack I put in correctly. Lined up yellow strip. When I go to take my first picture, it gets stuck. Nothing comes out. The first pack I opened and had to take off the back so I could get it out. The film pack was actually stuck in it. It has now happened again with the 2nd pack of film I put in. I don't know what's going on. I have replaced the batteries
Hi, I replaced batteries in off mode after the film jammed while it was being ejected (towards the end) the film then jammed again, stupidly I then pulled the film by force. I then replaced the batteries while the camera was on and the film ejected all the way, after that it got stuck again. Sometimes the film ejects fully, other times it gets stuck in the same position as before (almost out). Any advice please? When it gets stuck it seems like the rollers have just stopped early. I have cleaned the rollers and the battery contacts. The camera is not showing the low battery flashing lights so I don’t think it is a battery problem. Could the alignment be incorrect due to pulling out film? Any fixes if so or other recommendations? Thank you
The rollers are held in place by thick springs-they can get mis-aligned after being dropped and may be able to get damaged if too much force is used. If the camera is unloaded, I would try to feed the camera used films to try to see if that would reset or re-align the whole system.
hello my instax mini 7s is making a weird noise when printing and the film gets stuck when printed i already changed the batteries, what can i do to fix this? hope u reply thank you very much
My camera just keeps blinking a orange light and a cracking noise is going on when I turn it on. Is a mini 7+ help. I changed batteries and added new ones, also “reset “ the camera but no luck
I had this issue after adding new film and getting rid of the plastic protective bit. I stupidly forced it out instead of replacing the batteries, and I think I've damaged my camera. When I turn it on, the counter is still on 'S', all the lights are flashing and nothing happens. Does this mean it's broken and beyond repair, or is there something I can do at home to fix it? I feel like I've damaged the rollers or something
The blinking lights is the camera's way of telling us that there's a general error. Sometimes the camera is able to reset itself-make sure you replace the batteries with the camera turned on. Unfortunately, there are also cases where the camera is broken and needs to be disassembled and repaired.
Hi, when I’m trying to take the film out the way you did, it is stuck. As in it seems to be stuck from the upper part. I don’t know how to take it out :( please help?
Ah im having this same problem, the film cover got stuck just inside so I am unable to pull out the cartridge to get the stuck film out since its already partway out... 😮💨
My film is also stucked and I wasn't able to buy batteries immediately, so I off my Instax mini 9 since i haven't buy a new batteries, is that okay? Will it not damage the camera? And also is Energizer brand of battery okay for instax mini 9?
Hi, my instax has this thing where it has 3 blinking lights, do you perhaps know the solution? We've bought so many "Alkaline AA 1.5 V" batteries but none of them seem to fix the problem :(
The blinking lights are an indication that there's a general error on the camera. Usually it's just the batteries or your battery contacts are corroded or dirty. In some cases, this can mean that your camera's shutter or some other electronic part has failed and needs to be replaced. If you've replaced the batteries and cleaned the battery contacts BUT you're still getting blinking lights, it's best to have your camera checked at a repair or service center.
Keep the film in total darkness to make sure it won't get ruined. Try to cycle/shoot the camera first without film. Make sure to replace the batteries while the lens is out/camera on. You can return the film pack inside (again in the dark) once the camera is cycling normally.
I just bought this camera used from Amazon. The film is new (I think) yet nothing is coming out or getting jammed. It makes the sound after you take the picture that sounds like it’s ejecting the photo but that’s it. I’ve tried new batteries and opened the camera to see if there is a jam. No jam and new batteries but still no picture.
Was the film already inside when you bought it? There's a small metal claw that's used by the camera to push film into the rollers. When the film doesn't eject for the first time, this claw hits the edge of the film multiple times and sort of crumples it a bit, causing it to get stuck inside the film pack but not jammed in the rollers. BTW if you opened the back, the film might already be exposed.
@gonewithfilm I made the mistake of pulling out the film when the battery died mid print... 😬 now my camera is blinking & it won't print even with new batteries... WHAT DO I DO? Can I fix it myself?
Is the film still there? Sometimes the camera thinks there's still film inside, you might try loading an exposed film thru and feed the rollers to restart or reset the cycle of the camera.
Hi! So a film got stuck on my instax mini 9 due to low batteries. I made the mistake of pulling it instead of changing the batteries first. It works now that I’ve replaced it with the right batteries but I think I kind of messed up the rollers since some parts of the developed film look like it’s pressed too much since it appears to have some white lines. Can this be fixed with just cleaning the rollers or is it permanent?
The rollers are held in place with springs and plastic clips. As long as those were not broken or misaligned,, there shouldn't be any permanent damage. You can clean the rollers by swabbing them with a Qtip/cotton bud with a little alcohol, but do it very, very carefully because the cotton can get stuck between rollers. Hopefully the lines will go away after a few more shots- some debris does come off by sticking to the film getting ejected, cleaning the rollers in the process.
Hi can you please help? I changed the batteries and removed the film but there were no polaroids stuck in between. The first dial is permanently showing red and the other 3 keep flashing again and again.
Galing naman ng hack na yan. Pero super bulky. Siguro pwede mga windbreaker type para mas tipong material ng light bag. Or baka may mga pattern diyan, tahi na lang ng light bag mo.
I tried to fix it I had film stuck inside and I fixed it then changed the batteries but it didn’t work the orange lights on the front keep blinking and the red light from the back also can’t stop blinking what can I do pls help and thank you for helping the first time
Remove the batteries and clean the battery contacts. Try a different brand of alkaline batteries to make sure the batteries aren't the problem. If it still won't work, you have to bring it in for repair.
Hi!! I have a FUJIFILM Insta Mini 7S and everything appears like it’s working except that the film won’t come out. It isn’t getting stuck and the same amount of film remains in the cart regardless of how many times I take the picture. Please help
I sadly ruined my film already, however its still jammed. It got jammed as i had loaded new film and took the first picture that usually releases the empty plastic cover. When i open the flap to correct the jam, the whole container is still stuck. any idea what i can do to correct this? Thank you for this video
If the film pack is stuck like that, you probably had a double feed- the protective cover and another sheet of film may have gotten stuck in between the rollers. It might take a bit more force to pull the film pack away from the camera since there are 2 pieces lodged in. You can try removing the pack carefully; once pulled out you'll see which pieces were stuck on the rollers, you will have to pull those sheets out manually too.
So I changed the batteries and that worked. The protective sleeve came out and I was happy to see that even though I had opened the back (I couldn't get the film out) the firm was still fine. Maybe if I had been able to get the film out and expose the first photo to the light iymt would have been ruined. So teyy change the batteries first
Hiii I am not able to fix my camera😭 I inserted a new film pack and you know the first picture you take is to remove the black cover? Yeah that got stuck so I tried taking out the entire film back but it doesn't come out no matter how hard I pull. Do you know what else I could try to fix it?
I have an instax sq6 and I have a problem, there’s like a burn in each pic I take it’s a clear pic but the burn ruins it. It got stuck once and there was ink all over the pic and since then the burns started to show can you help me please?
hi luckily i didnt pull the protective film and found your videoo. my problem is i cant buy any batteries yet,is it okay if i close the lens eventho the film still stucked?
Hi I put a new cartridge inside my camera but when i took a picture the sample got stuck midway I really need help! I also tried getting fresh batteries and i opened the back
idk if u would answer this but i accidentally turned off my instax mini 9 when it was taking picture 3 years ago 😭 recently i got the stuck film out of there now i don't know what to do, is the batteries finished or not idk it was turning on and off for a day or two when the film was first stuck
I put in brand new films, in the first click along with the plastic frame an under developed film came out, both of which got stuck half way. And no matter what i do, it's not coming out. Even changed the batteries, but the lights keep in blinking.
Hi, my protective black film thing, the first one, is stuck half way because it ran out of batteries half way through. I replaced the batteries and it's still stuck. All the lights are also flashing even when its turned off. I tried to pull out the film box but no luck. Please help I need it for my wedding this weekend and don't wanna have to get it replaced 😫
Alkaline refers to the type of chemistry used in the batteries, so as long as it says "alkaline" on the battery, it should be ok. Just make sure the battery itself is new and in good physical condition-no leaks or corrosion on the battery. I've used many different brands and they all work fine on my Instax cameras.
Hi, I changed the film pack, but i suppose the batteries was low, because the first film wasn’t out, I have to change the film pack or only change the the batteries? The display still indicates that it’s in S, please help
If the batteries are low, only the batteries need to be replaced. How and where did you store the old film pack? You can use the old film if it was stored in complete darkness after removal. Instax film will get ruined if exposed to light outside the camera.
My instax film was stuckedand lights started blinking...i changed batteries, but it did not work..then i removed the film in bright light (all got spoiled)..then i pulled out the film -still the lights are blinking..how to fix the problem? Now there is no film in the camera , batteries are new and lights are blinking..should i put new pkt of film inside?
ok I was stupid for using used film + the protective layer, I have the Sq10, I placed the pictureS with the protective layer back on the camera and it keeps making the sound of ejecting the protective layer but it won't eject, but I cannot take the film out to replace EFFIN STUPID ME
hallo I have install mini 70 my battery was out so I change a new battery the next day I tried to take a picture and it works fine but the paper was out so I change a new one. but when I try to replace it with the new one the paper won't come out even the black cover and in the screen it keeps said I have 0 film and no paper comeout and I can only heard a spring noise I have doing your technics to see if the paper jammed but there is nothing inside the camera and the film still exactly how it was
If you haven't removed the film's black cover yet, try removing the entire film pack and have the camera take a picture while unloaded. Check if it will complete the cycle. Check the metal claw that pulls out the film is undamaged.
Hi. I don’t know what the problem is with my instax mini 9. When I click shutter button all lights blink. I have the right batteries, and I manually pulled out the first cover from the cartridge in the dark room. And it still doesn’t work. Please advice.
