I make a new part for a viewers Delta Unisaw Unifence. The locking bar for the clamp of the fence. His broke unavailable/very expensive, it is the same as my Unifence. So I build him a new part and supply him with a drawing for the part. I make the part from 1018 Cold Rolled 5/8" square stock.

Just broke my lug last week, not the garage door, but while raising my outfeed table. Randy shipped a new one by the end of the week. Installed it successfully today. Great service!

I may be partial to seeing you work on projects that are for me but that was the best video ever!!! Really well done, love the screen cap and everything. Especially liked the downhill mountain biking at the end. Going to be showing all my buddies this vid, should be fun. Good stuff, keep it up.

Nice build Randy, sometimes machine parts can be so expensive to source but really not much work to fabricate.

Excellent work as usual. I don't mind making a drawing on paper but I hate cad programs. Nice drawing and even nicer part made though. Thanks for the video.

nice work and even better done for a subscriber!.....the voice overs are great with your videos, more info given imo, nice change from the norm...........a .99 poly cutting board will give you a bunch of sacrificial pieces for milling...place a piece under your part....wont hurt bits or part if you cut into it.....crazy ass bikers....lol

Cool randy, I got a 3 year subscription to Autodesk Inventor 2015. One neat new feature is the slot which would have made drawing the 3/8" slot super simple as a sketch feature and then extrude through the part.

Turned out great Randy. Like the new format, plan/design & machining with voiceover. I am looking at Onshape for use at home, just need to find a good CAM solution for my workflow now.

Nice piece there Randy, what a cool thing to make that for a viewer! I also liked the little slideshow/video clip intro you did there at about 2:36 or so, I think you should keep that for your channel intro. Not that I don't like the airplane, I just think it is more along the lines of your channel's content. Whose to say you can't have both, this is America, right? Free to be who you wanna be! Thanks for the great show...and look for an email coming soon. Aloha...Chuck

I had no idea garage doors trashed so much equipment! They must have a vendetta against tools. lol It looked like the chair lifts were running?

Hi Randy, CAD..... Got to get into it sooner or later...... Sigh.....!!!! Voice over makes for a clean sound, maybe keep a little shop sound mixed in the background, I miss the tools sounds, old habits you know... Thanks, Pierre
@RRINTHESHOP
@RRINTHESHOP 9 лет назад
pierre beaudry Yep you got to do it. I will have to pre record some shop sounds. Thanks Randy
@pierresgarage2687
@pierresgarage2687 9 лет назад
Didn't do it myself, but, there is a way to keep the actual sound and lower the level while you add the voice over, I'll have to look into it cause I got a cheapo voice recorder could be useful as an alternative awaiting a good wireless microphone... Pierre

pierre beaudry It is not hard to do the voice over or have sounds/music in the background.

Hi , I just got this fence and saw from my dad. A great old timer finish guy left it to him My dad has always used a clamp to lock the fence down. I’ve been trying to fix it all afternoon with no luck. The locking handle is limp. It has absolutely zero tension on it weather it’s in the Chanel it slides in or if I have it off. The same locking piece you made is on mine and looks fine. Do you have any idea what could be wrong with it?

Just wondering about this title I hear often on US tv about calling people Master something. Is this a genuine qualification. Master builder, master carpenter, now master gardener. ?

Colin Riley I do not know about the others but the Master Gardener is a certificated qualification, and not easy to get. Thanks Colin. Randy
