Awesome video but what did you use for silicone? And what tool did you use?

I use this black gasket maker, called the right stuff. They have their own little caulk gun you can use I was actually using a Milwaukee electric caulk gun. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

So can you explain to me why the customer needed this engine work? was it a blown gasket where the piston was? what were the symptoms of leak? i think i may have the same issue. i seen oil and gas on my spark plugs. Brand new plugs too. iv been having rough idle, hard starts sometimes no starts, and IF i get the engine running and quickly press the pedal to rev the engine, rpms will drop and engine will misfire. i replaced so much until just today i seen oil in my intake manifold

Ya they came to me with problems anytime giving it any throttle it would start misfiring. He also said he heard a terrible sound come out. So I checked compression had low compression. Then I proceeded to do a leak down test in this video: How to do a cylinder leak down test (EASY) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-41xnWPVSe14.html You should do that too and see if your rings are ok. Mine showed leaks on the exhaust valves. So I needed to pull it to resurface and reseat valves. I always replace the head gasket while I’m in there. But, let me know what you find out. @@JunkyardJunkie thanks for the info! Thankfully for me, after taking the i take out, i seen oil inside the intake. my ocv valve works but theres a leak. So addiotional oil is getting through and soaking my plugs!

@@JunkyardJunkie so i replacdd my pcv, issue still there unfortunately. im towing it to a shop next week for them to do a deep dive diagnosis

You think I would need to send my heads off to get pressure checked or can I slap my new gaskets on without? And thanks for the video

Personally I would. You already have all this work invested that’s the best thing to do in my opinion. I check the heads for warpage or unevenness with a straight edge in many different positions. If it looks good I lap Valves and check how well it holds. I’m glad my video was able to help. Best of luck. Thanks for watching!
